Is UTX 2.0 Worth the price?

Featured Replies

I picked up FTX Vectors on sale for about $40 and it covers the entire world. I'm delighted with this upgrade.

Unfortunatelly, I could not get good performance with UTX USA V2. I also had some issues with textures in NYC and the new light tool was not user friendly.

It certainly improved the way FL looked (roads, lakes, etc) and the added ground lighting on the roads look nice, but the drop in performance in big cities was unacceptable, so I had to go the FTX Vectors route.

Next up for me, FTX LC USA.

For someone without FTXG, who owns GSX USA & UTX USA 1.4, the $15 upgrade price is certainly a great deal. The lighting alone is worth the upgrade price.

The 30 day policy?  That's been in place for years.  The most accurate vector data...  that's because of the data sources they used, vs Orbx's data...

I wasn't referring to the 30 day policy. As to the accuracy, what information do you have to back that up? Also, what source data is used for FTX Global vector 1.20?

That is the problem...for North American views below the wings..... That is not an issue with Tom-Tom data.

Vector 1.2 doesn't use osm for usa and canada

From what the author wrote on their forums...  Allan has never been a cocky character... and he's always making patches/amendments so their scenery can work with other even competing products.  I know it sounds biased but I'd believe him.  Maybe Orbx is doing something different now...  I'm not sure.  I own a ton of their products just not Global.
