747 manuals by PMDG

Featured Replies

I am contemplating getting the manuals in anticipation of the 747 V2. Will their be an update to the printed manuals to reflect the changes etc of the new arrival?

Thanks,

Dave

I would imagine the manuals would be completely new and not just an update to supplement the old manuals. Personally, I would wait until the new manuals are released before I purchased them.

I'd imagine that, like the 777 FCOM/FCTMs of the 777-200LR/F (and 300ER) product, the new 744 manuals would include references to the new 747-8 models as well. I'd wait for that reason alone, to be honest.

Stop imagining. Start saying facts.

Are we aviation guys or not? Then be and stay precise.

Start saying facts.

How could we, when no info has been given about the 747v2, other than the fact that they're working on it?

Among the posters so far, I think it's fair to say Kyle has the most insight in the process. By that, I don't mean that he knows, or doesn't know, if the manuals will be updated. But he's closest to the source in any case.

However, the situation where the paper manuals get updated along with the release of a brand new version of the same add-on, isn't too hard to imagine, I think.

How could we,

Not.

That's why I say, don't imagine. Just wait for the correct answer. ;)

If you don't like speculation, you might want to stay out of the forums. Just a little hint to save you some headaches :)
