May 9, 200521 yr Does anyone know if a HS 748 is being developed by anyone for FS2004?I know that DEE Waldron has an AI version and believe there is one other AI version available, but there doesn't seem to be a high quality flyable version anywhere this includes payware. There was a British fellow who was going to update his 2002 version, but has since halted work on this project. Having worked on this aircraft for 10 years, I would really like to get a hold of this aircraft and I think it's a shame no one has developed a decent version for 2004. This was after all a very successful aircraft and is still in service in many countries. It's one of those, they don't build em like that anymore classics.
May 9, 200521 yr I was looking for one too but I havent had any luck! I spotted a Nepalese 748 once but it was an AI model :(Just in case you didnt know :) : The alternative is AFGs *brilliant* YS-11 which is kinda HS-748ish! Same engines if Im not mistaken. They have done a truly excellent job on that plane so if you cant find a 748 definetly get that! The RR Dart sounds & panel are very well done.YS-11 base pack here:http://tinyurl.com/c7leqRepaints here:http://tinyurl.com/dzdpb
May 10, 200521 yr I picked up the YS-11 a couple of months ago very nice model and the sounds are great. It does have a problem with the fuel trimmer operating backwards, but aside from that it is pretty good. Hopefully, some developer will tackle the 748 someday.
May 10, 200521 yr Hi. I think the panel and the fuel trimmer have been updated and they can be downloaded from the site. Seems a pretty brilliant piece of work with some interesting quirks in it's behaviour!! and controls.Andy.
May 10, 200521 yr Unfortunatly, as far as I can tell the aircraft panel and fuel trimmer have not been updated for some time. The problem is the fuel trimmer works opposite to what it should, this has was brought up in their forums back before Christmas and there has been nothing yet. Aside from that, not a bad aircraft and yes very similar to the 748.
January 31, 200620 yr Hi PeterBritish Fellow here. :()She is back on track and will be out hopefully in a couple of months.Full rebuild (completely new model).FSDS3 with full clickable VC (V Cabin too if framerate will allow).Cargo Version & Pax version.Plenty of liveries planned to cover Canada & rest of the World. If i can believe the hype??? FSX compatible too.RegardsRick ;o)No Release date as it was started New Years Eve from scratch.Rudder trim tab is still being worked on.RAAF livery as it was handy to take shots.Virtual copilot will not be in model just there to check scale in VC.
January 31, 200620 yr Hi, It'd be great to have the HS748 for flightsim. I flew one for a year in the late 1990's and have good memories of it. It's a great machine on gravel. One place we operated it into was 2900' of gravel and at our (modded)landing weight of 43000# the landing ref was only 95kts. Looking forward to it being available. Dave
January 31, 200620 yr looks awesome rick!! Cant wait to fly a West Air around Europe and First Air around Canada and Alaska!
January 31, 200620 yr Meant to add that I look forward to seeing the entire Emerald Airways (UK) fleet painted up. Don't ask for much do I?!:(
January 31, 200620 yr WOW Rick! Im a waitin' for this bird. Very first plane I flew on, CYHZ- CYYG, in the late 1970's. Eastern Provincial Airways was in business then, and owned several of them, flying routes in Atlantic Canada. - Roger
