I should point out that although the VC view is pretty good, most will find the refresh on the gauges is not good enough to fly in this view. I use Project Magenta glass cockpit software on a separate system so I typically don't rely on the VC gauges for flying. After another quick hop, I will confirm that, IMO, the engine sounds are some of the best I have heard for a turbine in FS. There is a low vibration that really shakes the place if you have a subwoofer. You can almost smell the kerosene! It flies very nicely and is easy on the frame rates. Still, for $47 there is nothing new here to get excited about. There is an interesting FMC mounted in the panel but it is not functional. Since it is not a glass cockpit, I can't imagine what the FMC displays on.David

It says 47 USD on their site. That's $47 dollars in the United States unless I'm incorrect. This thread is about the cost of this product. Nothing more, nothing less. Alot of us really enjoy this hobby but you have to draw the line somewhere with regards to cost. $47 goes above and beyond that line. Comparisons are inevitable and this product when compared to just about everything about there is really expensive. Sure it would be nice to have a little more detailed description for a product this cost, but in the end the cost is still way to high comparitively speaking.I'm certainly not interested in bashing this group or their product, I am merely commenting from my own point of view about this one aspect. The product can have a lot going for it and I'm sure it does, but $47 is just too much money, for me anyways.Hope this clears up where I was coming from a little bit.:)

Yeah, It's got nothing at all to do with bashing devs. Anyone who knows me knows I'm definitely a payware guy. But the great thing about a free market is that they self regulate. In every one of these debates I've been in I've always said that the market will dictate the limit for pricing. People will buy up to a certain point, then when that price point is eclipsed, they will stop buying and prices will level off and probably drop a bit. Well, I think we're seeing that limit be reached. FSD has announced new bundle pricing and an intention to strive for reasonable pricing for their products. I think we're likely to see more of that. The problem with this one add-on in particular is that it's so much above the average for it's type. I mean I can get the Flight1 Meridian with a fantastic functional FMC for less. I can get Flight1's amazing ATR for less. THis add-on seems to be priced about $15 above the going rate for it's category. Now I don't have a specific problem with that if it's got some things going for it to account for that difference, but so far it really doesn't sound like it does...

>I think the price in US Dollar is wrong. This error is caused by the >payment>site who uses a wrong currency conversion.>I was going to ask it explanations and if there is a error all dollar>customers will be refund for the difference. For me 31 euros are >39.6815$.>It's not my intention to sell a product at 47$. Im very very sorry and >angry>too against my payment site. You can write this in the topic.>To late>Kind regards>Roger JEDIKIAN>ParisIf this is indeed the case, I think I'll wait until the price is actually fixed to pick this up. It would also explain a lot...http://img250.echo.cx/img250/2845/b18sig5kd.jpg

. . . just in case anyone doesn't have MAAM-Sims B25 "Briefing Time", or have never seen it - go and see what you get for just U$39.95 for both CD's - including shipping. This aircraft - and it's mate - the fabulous R4D - are fully photo-realistic, come fully manualed - even including the original US Military manuals, 400 hundred or so photos and an number of (1943) original and modern training videos. THIS is value for money. The proceeds all go to the museum, and the support and enthusiam exhibited by Bill Rambow and his crew is nothing short of tremendous. "One happy customer"pj

I can speak to the support. I noticed the website was all in french and emailed him from the contact button. I got a reply in less than an hour.Thomas

And a portion of the proceeds go towards keeping the real planes flying.

Dear Simmers, We understand your concerns raised by email and via the forums. In order to maintain your satisfaction we propose as of now the Cessna-Reims F406 for FS2004 at the price of 29 USD. So as not to penalise previous customers, we offer them a free key to use on another computer or for another person. We thus hope to make the largest possible benefit, from an accomplishment which required nearly one year of work, in the aim of providing you with even more pleasure in the use of your favourite flight simulator. Kind regards to all,Roger JEDIKIANNeuroflight team manager

A fair offer IMHO.But I still miss some kind of review from existing customers. Neuroflight doesn't offer a forum yet, so without any information, it's hard to judge...Andreas

Thanks for posting Roger. In my opinion, $29. US brings your Cessna into line with the existing add-ons out there. We do appreciate your hard work and you deserve to be compensated for it. Much success with your new Cessna and other offerings.Jim

I have to say, even having paid the original amount for this plane, I really enjoy flying it. It's what I was looking for in the Cheyenne but never really got in FS9 (I still find the Cheyenne too squirrelly on the ground). It has a few things that need fixing but Neuroflight has been very responsive so far so I am sure it will only get better.David

Could you be a little more specific as to what you like about it? How does it fly? How are the visuals? Does come with a manual? Thanks.ricardo

Ricardo,I would say it flies very, very well. My home cockpit is setup (for the moment) like a C421 but often times I want something a little sportier and this definitely fits the bill. The manual is basic at best. There are still a few bugs and it doesn't have many of the newer bells and whistles - like popup gauges in the VC, but it does have a few extras that have only hit other payware fairly recently (visors that move). Most people will find the VC gauges do not update fluidly enough to fly from that view. But it works exceptionally well with Project Magenta and Go FLight hardware. These little difference won't mean much to most people but this plane happens to meet my needs quite well. I can't look at it from the outside, though, because it's pretty darn ugly (the real plane, not just the Neuroflight version!).David
