FSI Panel on sale at Flight1

Featured Replies

Just noticed that Flight1 has $10 off on FSI Panel.  I've been thinking about getting it for the longest time.  Avsim Gold winner.  Price after the coupon is 34.95.

Anybody have it want to give some feedback?

It's a brilliant piece of software, that not only works fantastically with the main aircraft from iFly, PMDG, Aerosoft, A2A, Level D,  but also works with a host of different aircraft, including limited but useful functionality with (all I think) payware and default aircraft.

The weather functions work extremely well to quickly import the various weather scenarios (CAT 1/2/3 CAVOK, current weather for a selected airport, historical weather, customised weather etc) into the sim even if you're not using the full FSIPanel functionality.
You can store 10 "snapshopts" of any  situation you want to save, start an approch from the beginning of a STAR and a host of other function.
Have you viewed the videos? A good place to start.

I own both, FSIPanel is a much more in depth product. Instant Approach is good for what it says it does, putting you on any approach, but with a limited set of variables, and no way of programming the IFly/PMDG/Aerosoft FMC's.

FSIPanel does a huge amount more than Instant approach, but if I want to do a quick flight, Instant Approach works well for simple aircraft.

The real benefits of FSIPanel is the way it programmes the FMC's, and put the flight plan in the aircraft so the magenta lines and all the way points are loaded when used in the appropriate scenarios.

Viewing the FSIPanel videos will give you a much clearer idea.

This is a great FSX addon, alittle tricky to setup in network Mode, but well worth it.

Thanks for the heads up. Always fun to save a few bucks on a add-on that really bring FSX to a new level. Must have software you are using FSX as a learning tool.

+1 to that.

Watch the video of FSi program the FMC route of Airbus for a circuit and you'll be sold.

It's a great product and is being regularly enhanced.

You can place your aircraft 50 miles out on a STAR if you wish.

Froogle did a video review earlier this year too. Good comments but he said interface was ugly! He's wrong it's functional (like a panel) and you can change background colour if you like!

I have Instant Approach too but wouldn't go back.

What a great addon.....I had no idea that it was possible for such an addon to interact/setup a PMDG and its systems as you need them for your phase of flight!

Too bad the discount ended yesterday :-(

It's still there.  You could try it and see if the coupon works.
