December 24, 201411 yr Voxatc is an interesting ATC program and I do like it but, I want to remove it from Prepar3d for a while so it won't interfere with other ATC addons I want to experiment with. The problem is, I don't see an "uninstall" option... not sure of the proper way of getting it out of Prepar3d and I don't want to go messing around and having more problems than I can handle...
December 24, 201411 yr I use Vox and Proflight Emulator. They don't interfere with each other as far as I've been able to tell.if you feel you must uninstall it you can do so through the Windows control panel.
December 24, 201411 yr In FSX you could simply remove the two sections that were added to the panel.cfg file. Tom

Hmmm... guess I could simply keep the voxatc window closed and move it's traffic slider to zero in the settings. Then I could move the P3D traffic sliders back to something normal. After all, P3D ATC doesn't interfere with voxatc or the other way around.
December 24, 201411 yr When I use PFE, I move the traffic slider to where I want it in P3D. Unless you start up Vox it shouldn't be an issue.

Oh,I was under the impression that vox was generating AI traffic all the time unless I changed the slider for it in the settings routine... but then, why would they bother with an "enable" button if it did, huh? Sometimes my thinker goes on vacation...
December 25, 201411 yr i just bought voxatc and cant get it to start up in p3d, i must be missing something, i followed the guide.
December 25, 201411 yr i just bought voxatc and cant get it to start up in p3d, First, did you select the sim? If you go from FSX to P3D it will uninstall the entries from the FSX aircraft panels. You have to install into whatever aircraft you choose in P3D.
December 25, 201411 yr i only have a fresh install of p3d v2, when you select sim p3d is chosen and grayed out, the documentation is not very clear on how to use it
December 25, 201411 yr Ok, after you chose P3D Vox should have run the indexer. After that it will give you a list of your installed aircraft and you check the boxes of the aircraft that you want Vox installed to. You click install.Because you are only using one sim you might have to go to the panel setup utility to install Vox to your aircraft. When I start P3D, I choose the airport and parking position then the aircraft. Then, I choose the flight plan that Vox is going to use. I then click on fly.Once I have the aircraft set up I go to the menu in P3D to views then instrument panel and then choose Vox. It will show the Vox window. Click enable and away you go. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them or I'm sure someone will step in.
December 25, 201411 yr thank you, that worked, but do i have to use the default flight plan in p3d? i use efb and pfpx and would like to use that but it won't let me load the flight that way, is there a way that i can export my flight from pfpx or efb without using the default p3d planner
December 25, 201411 yr I use PFPX or Simbrief. Save your flight plan to P3D. Before you click the on fly now, load your flight plan and you should be ready to go.
December 25, 201411 yr how are u getting your flight plan from pfpx to voxatc/p3d,so vox will follow my pfpx plan.
December 25, 201411 yr You save the pln file in your "my document\prepar 3d v2" folder first from your flight planning software. Then from the Prepar3d start-screen (or from the file menu) you import that flight plan file into Prepar3d. You dont click the find route button. Just click ok. This will load your flight plan in Prepar3d where it can be used for the default gps. Vox use this flight plan. If you have an external gps like gtn750 or an fms, you need both to enter the flight plan in the gtn unit and in the Prepar3d flight plan otherwise vox have no reference and just ask you to tune the "radio" when flight start. PierreP3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...
December 25, 201411 yr thanks everyone for all the help, i fly mainly heavies, and waiting on pmdg to go p3d and i chose vox for learning and when vatsim doesn't have controllers. one last question, is there a cheap way to get voice packs besides the default microsoft anna, i am unsure what to buy as i have seen so many different ones,i read here on avsim about ivona, but i don't know if you just buy it and install it or what to do
