Steampowered fsx ?

Featured Replies

I dont know if this is the corect forum.

This is suppose to be an tweaked version of fsx but with the same settings as my main fsx and with no  addons, just defalut 737 at KJFK nice weather it pulled 19-20Fps.

With the original FSX + PMDG, FS2crew , Rex texture direct, UT2, ASN, etc I got at the same airport, same gate with snow and poor weather around 15-19Fps

That means if I install all addons on the new fsx I will crawl at around 5fps

It's supposed to be a repackaged FSX with a few memory management tweaks. Not a complete engine overhaul. I fly it exclusively now because I don't get OOM errors anymore.

Hm I see, but will the make or do anymore updates and changes ? because Im better of with mine then get alot more FPS, so tweaked I dont know.

Updates and changes to the extent of P3D? Probably not. If you have better performance with FSX Gold, stick with that.

I have FSX and Acc and yes I have lot of better performance .... now I bought it so I have to hope for updates :)

I do not use all of those add-ons, yet, as as a matter of fact only installed one add-on aircraft ( RealAir Duke v2 ) and Steve's FSX fixer.

So far I notice a smoother experience overall with FSX so far.

Same here. Without addons or busy cities, I easily get 60 frames per second. Same as FSX Gold.

Seems like something seriously wrong there, DTG FSX SE is noticeably faster than MS FSX, when tested on all my systems.

Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

FSX SE will not improve FPS by much , the thing that FSX SE does is improve VAS remarkably .

I woud not mind if I did not get extra frames but I get LESS frames even with no addons and I almost never had problems with VAS, so for me was a total waste of money.

Yeah, that's not the way it should be. Definitely not normal, so you may want to try to find what's causing your FPS to drop.

Thats so ease :), the config files seem to be splitered to, in steam fsx I have like 4-5 config files.

Display, elumens, Kiosk, scenery, I dont feel like home.

Fsx normal config I almost know it by heart, here I dont know where to start.
