Dear Friends...Has somebody bought the KMSY scenery package from Imagine Sim?How is it?

Debosonic Imagine's KMSY is an awesome add-on to say the least, I just bought it yesterday... :-jumpy This time around I have to put it almost right up there with FlyTampa's offerings (almost). The performance is just that good on my system. The overall look of the airport is first rate. I highly recommend this airport to everyone reading this thread, it's truely another great add-on from some great developers...

Well I purchased their KDTW and I would only say it is slightly better than Simflyers.I have all of FlyTampa ,and SimFlyers and I am going to skip KMSY because I was not overly impressed with KDTW.FlyTampa and the Rhode Island Landscape with KPVD from Flight Scenery are the best out there period.Imagine has failed in IMHO to capture the same realism as the 2 above mentioned authors.Andy

I wish for the people who bought these sceneries post screenshots of these airports in the screenshot forum so I (and others) can get a better look at what the airports are like (the screenshots at Imagine's web site is not that good). They made 3 airports I would love to have, but I would like to see more screenshots from people before I buy them.

After seeing what FlightScenery offers or what Online Simulation Solutions airports look like I don't think I will be satisfied with anything else. These's guys are up there to.Lovely Scenery with fast FPS.Its a shame Simflyers have gone downhill so badly, there sceneries are FPS eaters, and they dont look have a s good as the above devs, but their KLAS & KPHX are great.Jason

I fully agree with you Michael J. The bar has been raised and after owning R.I. scenery I found you can have the best of both worlds. High detail scenery and no hit on FPS. I know that I wont settle for less now that I know its possible, theres just no reason too. Whas so great about detail scenery if its a slide show for ya.Kilstorm

As a thread starter I wanted to get see some nice reviews about KMSY to justify getting and I did get it.Now I have all the imagine airports and IMHO they are better than whatever Simflyers has to offer and better than Fly Tampa too, in terms of fluidity and detail.I have KDEN KDTW KMSY from Imagine,KPHX,KIAD,KATL,KIAH,KLAS from SimflyersOMDB and KSFO from Fly TampaEGLL from UK2000and Japanese airports Volume IV.and lots of freeware airports too.And for Dillon, Dubai maybe out of the way for you, but as I live in the UAE (near Dubai) it is not entirely useless for me.-Where do you live by the way? I agree with you though it may be abit of an off-course destination for one who is not there.Still I have built my FS USA with all the above airports to make my flights more enjoyable. I also own F1 USA Roads, which is also a great enhancement along with the FE, and lots of add-ons too.So, yes, KMSY is fantastic, those without it, don't wait.The VTBD freeware from Martin Strong is great too.I would love to see a new even more detailed Don Muang from a payware house like Imagine or Fly Tampa.

Hey Debosonic I'm glade you took the plunge and got KMSY, it's truly a great add-on. It's a shame that some are sticking to certain developers for scenery as that can be very limiting (concerning destinations to fly to). I'm like you as I like purchasing airports from around the world. The only problem I have with Dubai is I've served time in the Navy in that region of the world. It's very (very) hot which caused me to almost get a heat stroke on the Flight Deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln during our tour in the Persian Gulf (1993). I've never wanted to return to that region again because of that. All the war activity that's going on has also detoured me from even viewing the region in FS... FlyTampa seems to have done a wonderful job in depicting airport. Dubai seems to be a truly unique design as far as terminal structures go. How many detailed airports do we have for that region anyway??? I would hate to fly from either Europe all the way there (12+ hour flight) or Sidney Australia to get to this one single detail airport in the entire Islamic world. Talk about oasis in the desert, this brings a whole new meaning to that statement...Debosonic I live in Minneapolis Minnesota USA. That's why I mentioned above that

I just bought KMSY, and it is very good. Much, much more frame rate friendly than the Simflyers airports. On par with Fly Tampa. I wish people would stop commenting on addons they don't own.ricardo

Well Michael if I were you I'd go with oppionins of people who've actually bought the product versus screenshots. Even though the resolution in which the screenshots were taken was most likely '640x480', the airport still doesn't look bad. I can still see the detailed terminals and baggage carts, the taxiway lines, and the night and day effects. All that
