Traffic FSX gone...

Featured Replies

Hi Simmers,

I tried to install  "My Traffic 2013" and after trying to set it I just gave up because it wouldn't work at all. Tried 2 times and no luck. When I uninstalled MyTraffic 2013' and loaded FSX again I realized that the normal traffic was also gone. There is no traffic planes in my simulation now.  How do I get those files back? I'm sure they went with the other files when I removed My Traffic 2013. Please any help?  I don't want to re-install

FSX.

Thank you in advance.

Look in FSX/Scenery/World/Scenery for trafficAircraft.bgl.   This is where the default traffic comes

from.  The other program may have changed the extension to something else.

Hi Glynn, I got the default traffic back on. But you tell me to PM you the Traffic 2013. But, what is to PM? Sorry about my ignorance, but I'm not familiar with that term. Thanks a million for helping.

Thank you.

JCPG, it sounds to me like you haven't added the My Traffic scenery layer in the FSX Scenery library. This is a manual part of the process and if you miss it, you won't have any aircraft. Instructions for how to do that are included with the My Traffic Installation instructions. Let us know if you get stuck on that bit and I'm sure we can get it sorted for you.

Cheers

Hi, ok will try the help of the installation instructions.   By the way,  My Traffic 2013 is not live.   Does it need internet while using it? Or is it a off line thing?

Thanks.

No you don't need the internet - it's all offline. It's a nice programme but you do need to spend a bit of time getting it set up right on your system. Let us know how you get on. I wouldn't put any more than 30% traffic at first (maybe less, depending on your system)- there will be far more planes at this setting than 100% default traffic though.
