I often used Plan-G as a moving map and for instruments on my 2nd monitor in FSX. I'd like to do the same in P3D,but whenever I 'unpause' P3D, my 2nd monitor goes black. Windows 7 64 bit btw if it matters. Appreciate any input on what I'm missing. Thanks, Phil

Hi there. Still feeling new to the shift to P3D despite having had all versions along the way here. I always used Fraps in FSX and X-Plane...is that what you all are using for video and screen captures? I am a little stumped trying to find an 'Enable' key to map and a 'Disable' key. The default of F9 is not good...I tried PRINT SCREEN and Pause/Break...didn't seem to start the recording though and nothing recorded/ Suggestions and insight appreciated. Thanks. Phil

I found all of what you showed previously though....what I was missing was I had to click on the box for sim/none/none *and* then search through the folders under 'sim' to find that a page worth of scrolling down in the 'view' section there is a section of commands for 'Scenic Flyer' such as to toggle the panels on and off. Hi, I am trying to map keys on my Saitek X52 to toggle this plug-in on and off and vary other settings: Sceninc Flyer V1.3 http://digital-avionics.com/scenic/home.html The instructions suggest mapping these commands: /view/scenic_flyer_on_off Great on a joystick button, this turns the panel on/off. /view/scenic_panel_larger Makes the Scenic-Flyer panel larger. /view/scenic_panel_smaller Makes the Scenic-Flyer panel smaller. /view/scenic_select Toggles the panel between GA and Glass. /view/scenic_transparency Alters the transparency of the panel. /view/scenic_force_on Forces the Scenic-Flyer panel to ON. ...but when I go to the Settings > Joystick & Equipment > Buttons Advanced in BETA latest, I can't type in the command...Whether I hit the Joystick button first and see it go green and show me there is nothing mapped to it first, or I try entering the command first...I just am not getting the interface here for setting this. I just did this upgrade...I had EZDok installed for a long time and was frustrated with it, so I had recently uninstalled and tried the Saitek SW for the X52 (didn't like it). When I saw there was a BETA version of EZDok that included Prepar3d, I jumped on it. FYI, it turned out I needed to go install the old version of EZDok...that comes in a Flight1.com wrapper...the code had expired...I needed to go to FLight1 and request they reactivate my code which happened instantly. From there I was able to follow instructions found here It all went well...just a lot of precise steps to follow including scanning for key conflicts in each sim, checking the version of SimConnect (no longer needed I understand now). I am happy to have EZDok back...it looks promising and works great in Prepar3d V2.5, however in FSX (box/acceleration) I acn not fihgure out how to get the hat switch on my X52 to allow me to pan around like I can on Prepar3d and how I used to in FSX...very frustrating.

How did this work out? I have been looking at trying the EZdok BETA...just uninstalled the older version and was playing with the Saitek X52 SW and profiles for FSX and Prepar3D V2.5. I wasn't happy with EZdok and needing to make tedious camera profiles for certain aircraft. I did have good profiles for some like the NGX etc.

Just getting into DCS here. Always had a thing for A-10s as there were some based near where I grew up. When I first installed it I couldn't get my mouse cursor to show up. I opened a ticket and was just told to update my video drivers which I do regularly for FSX and X-plane anyway.... Didn't help. Only recently did I see the updated FAQ that tells one to un check show trails for the mouse. That fixed it all finally.... Can't wait to fly it some tonight. Hi folks...looking for a little help. Most of my scenery is Orbx US and ANZ...but I bit on end of year sales and bought MegScenery for Connecticut and Pennsylvania. They were really big downloads, and I then ran the installers and installed them in their own directory and added them ( I thought) to the scenery library. What I get now whenever I start up is an error as follows (wanted to post jpeg or pdf of the message but the rules are so strict and complicated I figured I'd just retype the error): SECENERY.CFG file error. Local scenery directory (..\MegaSceneryEarth\Connecticut\MegaSceneryEarth (possibly more characters cut off here) Connecticut 003\SCENERY) in scenery Area.156 not found. Click OK to continue. OK Can I get a little help or guidance on fixing this? My thought is to go back and delete all the MegaScenery files installed in a custom locatuion and redo the install using the C:\ etc defaults (even though my FSX is on E:\FSX BTW I do have 'Scenery Config Editor" as well as "Addit!Pro for FSX" Thanks! I use EZdok Camera and I just hit numeric keypad 2 while in the camera/view on which I want to adjust height and hit PG UP to heighten it.

I have been very pleased with the Kodiak and all its variants.

WooHoo! Updated...all fixed by following @aarque"s advice: I am going to take a shot in the dark and guess you will find them in your "SimObjects\Misc" folder. That's where they were and I removed those folders and all seems happy now.

So still having this issue while I wait for Just Flight Support to get back to me. I did run latest version of AddIt!Proo registered and when I chose EDIT Aircraft it detected some duplicate names and offered to fix that- I let it fix that but I still have errors with objects of same name. HERE are the latest errors I get in the order in which they appear when I launch FSX and again if I choose a plane to fly....after that all runs OK until I choose a difernet vehicle.

Whoops! Sorry @aarque, should have addressed my response to @nortmar, whose Support Team sent me a tool from JustFlight to gather data about my FSX install so they can help me. I will see when I can get after editing/checking the FSX.CFG file again...just arrived a family reunion for the night with 50 family members probably all heading for the bar.

Thanks. ZIP file from your tool sent just now. I do own Addit!Pro for FSX...when I run it there is no conflict flagged or shown. And "Yes" to your guess below- the remaining messages are "There are multiple objects..." including 'Spotty' and "ControlTower....." etc.

Thanks, looking at fsx.cfg I don;t see TrafficX at all...even searching on it....most of the rest is as you said it would be. Here is an excerpt of how I find it now pre-editing anything where I have just clipped out the parts that have SimObjectPaths in them...note the Traffic360 entry being separated from the others.....suggestion? Thanks @aarque. I had the program already from previous repairs/updates. I used it to remove the two problem areas that had red warnings and that resolved the scenery issue, BUT the issue of duplicate vehicles/planes/spotty/control towers etc still remains.

So I installed Just Flight's new Traffic 360 on my Win7 machine running FSX w/Acceleration of course. I thought I had Traffic X installed may be, but I couldn't find anywhere I had downloaded it (turns out I installed it from a DVD last year). Anyway, I didn't see anywhere to uninstall it....such as in Add/Remove Progs, or any uninstaller at E:\fsx\JustFlight.....SO...I went ahead and purchased Traffic 360, downloaded it and installed it. (not the upgrade which woul dhave saved me $10 but the full program) Now when I start FSX, I get errors that I have to dismiss...eventually I can launch and run and the traffic looks great, but I get: SCENERY.CFG file errors "There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique names. JFAI_CT_Airfiled SimObjects\JFTraffic\JustFlightCtrlTowerAirfield" Among ~20 others. I went looking at Just Flight's website and they just say uninstall Traffic X to fix this. They don;'t say how...there is no uninstaller that I see. I tried dragging the following folders out of FSX: E:\fsx\SimObjects\TrafficX E:\fsx\TrafficXplus (note that I apparently had the military and civilian plus paks from Traffic X too) E:\fsx\TrafficX and I then uninstalled Traffic 360 and then re-installed it after a reboot...same symptoms: When I start FSX or I change airports or panes/helow I get ~10 or 20 errors to OK through. I have made a JPEG that I uploaded to Flickr here showing almost all the errors screen-clipped into a file. Please if someone could advise me on how to fix this and what file folders are safe to get rid of or is something like rebuilding or deleting a .CFG file might help. I have run P3D Academic some on my machine that I use heavily for FSX and it runs well...have moved a few aircraft over with migration tool. I am now looking at the update to 1.4, but it appears on LMCO's website f ro P3D and in their forums that one should uninstall P3d 1.3 then download and install 1.4 and move your add-ons again? What? If I recall the download was like 9GB,,,,I can deal with that but really??I have to obliterate what I got running well on 1.3??? Anyone tried just installing 1.4 over top?

I wonder if when they say: "..... Now supports X‐Plane Versions 9 & 10. Fully editable flight plans can be saved in the X‐Plane format (.fms), or in Plan‐G’s own format (.plg)....." ...if that means anything more than creating and importing flightplans--I would love to be able to "CONNECT" with X-Plane the way we can in FSX and have my aircraft flying the plan on Plan-G on one of my monitors.
