June 22, 200520 yr Why????C'mon, lets get FS10 over with first...see what we have before making any guesses or demands (!) for FS11.
June 22, 200520 yr Looks like someone missed the sarcasm.. :-roll It was funny for five seconds though :-lol
June 22, 200520 yr I hear it on good authority that FS11 will be released the second week of June, 2008. I was at a software demo the other day, and one of the attendees owns Microsoft stock, and heard from his cousin, whose son is a janitor at Mickey D's near Microsoft's Redmond office. Well, the janitor/son overheard two other janitors talking, who both work in Microsoft's lunchroom. They heard someone "in the know" talking--they can't say whom, but I understand this someone is really high up--he works in the Media Player division. Anyway, this media player guy recently said he heard a bunch of programmers in the games division listening to "Fly Robin Fly" on their media players. Anyone who has lived through the 70's knows that song. It can only mean one thing. Work on FS11 has begun. The same source said he knew work on FS10 had begun when he heard someone playing John Denver's "Fly Away". You see, every version of MSFS has its theme song :)-John
June 22, 200520 yr Actually, I think you'll find that the next edition will be FS5. I have it on 100% reliable information (William Gates is my second son's second son's slightly shorter sibling) that there will be a new format "Flight Simulator - The Retro Look". :-lol
June 23, 200520 yr They'll pull a WinAMP-type release:Soooo Good we Skipped a Number!-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!
June 23, 200520 yr No one even knows for sure if there will be a 10. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU

June 23, 200520 yr I just needed some light relief from all the tedium of "when is FS10 gonna be released" etc etc........sometimes an attempt at parody does the trick. I aplogise to those who thought I was being serious, and thanks for all the replies from those who understood my intent! ;-)
June 23, 200520 yr Hmm, methinks the wisdom of using a John Denver song for an airplane simulator program might just be marketing disaster. Would they have his homebuilt as an included craft and a pre-made flight of his last dive? Flight Simulator 2008 - Air crashes of history (as real as it gets). The box would come with a an insurance application and a tourniquet.Art
