April 19, 201511 yr If you have a standalone Steam version of FSX, you need to install all three Legacy versions of simconnect. Mike
April 19, 201511 yr You need to uninstall all pmdg and the reinstall. Really? That's not the best advice you could have offered. Why not mention the FSX-SE USERS READ ME file that comes in the installer zip? That will solve the problem almost every time. Dan Downs KCRP

That will solve the problem almost every time. Because I assume most people operate the way I do, which is to read the install info and then post if they have trouble. I have just installed Steam this week and had a problem with the installers and someone else suggested to uninstall everything and reinstall per Ryan's post. It worked. Just trying to be helpful. I guess I have learned the hard way when it comes to Flight Simulator. I have to admit in other areas I usually ignore the readme. Mark CYYZ

Yeah, it was here (simming) where I learned to start paying attention to them...the hard way. Then again, I'm pretty sure that, in most cases (not for actual flying, obviously), that's just how it has to happen. Kyle Rodgers
