SLI -Profile for 353.06 (2x970SC) ?

Featured Replies

I've read before in this forum that Prepar 3D V2 doesn't support SLI until Nvidia write SLI profile.  Do I missing something, or Nvidia has fixed that by now?

The newest driver 352.86 and 353.06 and 353.12 has a profile for SLI and most simmers seems to have good results with it.

I do not . I have an issue when i click the right mousebutton the SLI goes out of SYNC (FPS gets at least halfed and lots of stutter)and is not able to always get it in SYNC afterwards (ALT-ENTER) . My FPS is also lower than on a single-card .

Undocking PFD,ND has the same symptoms (maybe because of right mouse clicking)

I have tried different monitors, mouse and even drivers with no luck.

Going single card and everything is fine here

But again most have success

+1

Maybe this is affecting more the earlier 780 users than the newer 9xx GPUS.

980s as well are being affected.  I have found that by selecting Single GPU in NVCP, both GPUs are working at about equal levels (20-40%) and my frame rate is much better.

Note: I'm running Win 10 10130, and am using the NVIDIA Win 10 drivers, 352.86.

So i am not the only one? No offence but i am glad to hear that.

Hard to judge the hardware when i have so good performance in GTAV and project cars.

Again hopefully we will se an improvement later.

By no means it's a hardware problem... SLI in RoF, BoS and DCS is working like a charm in terms of performance. I don't know if there are bugs like the fx ones in P3D in those sim platforms but I am able to put all settings to max and run the sims at 60 fps with vsync on.

The issue in P3D is at driver level I suppose... and P3D still being a dog to CPU's and GPU's in terms of optimization.

Till now you are the first user I see reporting the exact same issues I am having with 780’s + SLI + P3D v2.5. Some people are claiming increases of 15% ++ which I would love to achieve without spending a dime in a stupid new gen GPU that will not be used at its full potential…

Best regards, Luís

Okay just a quick heads up about this SLI issue and my lack of performance increase.

First i must admit something. I am on 353.30 now and did a test in EKCH C37 with the PMDG 777-200LR Air Canada.

Almost everything cranked up and SLI indicator inside P3D was working,

In Cokpit i see no FPS gain as i dont know if i am supposed to but taking a 360 degrees tour around the airport with these settings i whent from MAX 51 fps to 73 fps (looking at the new eastern tower)

Same experience otherwise around so thats a major increase. I had VSYNC off for the test.

I use 4x SGSS as 8xMS inside P3D at the test.

Inside the 777 i have 34-35 fps at gate C37 up and running with default panel state and 20% Mytraffic. This is totally the same not in SLI (dont know why ? )

But undocking and right mouseclick seems to unsync SLI and sometimes i can not recover.

So using FMC,PFD etc is a no go for now but i might use SLI for my GA flights for now

So what GPU settings can i use without hitting my VAS to much ?

I know AA from NI  (4xSGSS is a keeper ) (Webmaximus :-) )

Thanks
