Hmm, if i disable SLI my FPS are back AND i can undock panels with just a minor loss in fps so it must be related to SLI

Also strange that SLI costs me 12-15% in FPS

Before you do that, delete your shader cache, rename your Prepar3d.cfg file and let the sim rebuild it. Then crank up your IQ settings to where you want them.

When you get worse performance from 2 970s in SLI vs a single 780 SC surely something must be very wrong?

I was thinking about replacing my 1st gen Titan with 2 970s but after reading a thread like this one I'm very happy I stayed with my Titan and held on to my money!

Don't blame the hardware WebM  :P

As you know, I've been running twin 970's for over a year with none of these issues. Of course, I only use two monitors.

Still bad performance and undocking is a no go for now (in SLI)

Single card use and my performance is on pair with the GTX780SC

Have to solve this . Any other ideers?

Project Cars perform great (25-45fps increase)

Okay ,

I desided to test with some loads on the GPU but still single Card performance in terms of FPS is better on my system.

I get 36 fps single vs 31fps in SLI at EKCH at max settings (autogen Normal buildings)

GPU usage is 50-80% on single and 30-35% in SLI

Maybe i should test with older drivers

(still undock problem in SLI as well)

There much be some conflict here.

If i go to outside view with EZCA or any other ouside view and right click with the mouse the FPS gets halfed and stuttering panning around . Also i can see the Sli indicator is not moving in this scenario and in NI GPU usage only GPU1 is loaded.

hmm

Update:

right clicking in VC also cuts FPS in half so something is wrong. GPU 0 is unloaded when i right click

will try another driver

No, you're right Vic. As I wrote Michael sure seems to have some spooky stuff going on with his SLI setup and I hope he will be able to track down the culprit.

What I meant was that since I can't be sure I wouldn't end up in the same situation I'm happy I decided to stay with my single Titan at least for now.

Okay nothing new i am afraid,

Tried 352.86 as well with same behaviour.

350.12 does not have these issues in SLI but then again its not supported and the GPU load is on GPU 1  (10-12% on GPU2) and rather same performance as my GTX780SC

So for now i am lost

Really sorry to hear that but I'll keep my fingers crossed you'll eventually find what is stopping you from having the performance and enjoyment from your investment you were hoping for.

Thanks. For now i only run single GPU. Maybe New drivers Will help.

When it works, it works well. Unfortunately is sufficient a "sneeze" to disengage one GPU.

That's true on SOME systems. I have had NO problems like that and NO artifacts. I have NO idea why my system likes SLI and some others who try my settings have no luck.

Since I was running SLI with 347.88 drivers with o problems, I can't say it's the drivers. The official driver is nice but for me it appears a "little" smoother but no big deal from what I've been running.

Its a shame for sure but project cars on ultra is jawdropping in SLI. So is GTA5.

Strange indeed as i suspect this rightmouse click to be fps drop issue related to undocking panels.

No ideer why i get lower fps in general in SLI

Could it be related to my cpu not being fast enough? It does load frome 35-60 percent in process explorer
