July 12, 201510 yr Okay after I land and exit the runway they tell you to change to ground, so then they told me to taxi to gate 80 using taxiway G L H F I am trying to not use any of the progressive taxi BUT when I get to the gates, none of them have signs telling me which gate is which!
July 12, 201510 yr If you find the appropriate chart for the airport it will have the gates marked on there Brian Thomas MSFS2020/24, Intel i9-14900K, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Panther OC 16GB GDDR6X, MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI (LGA 1700) DDR5, Corsair Vengeance RGB 64GB (2X32GB) DDR5 5600MHz, BenQ PD3205U 32” UHD monitor, Win 11 Pro 64-bit,
July 12, 201510 yr Typical at default airports. Addons might have ground markings or signs noting gate numbers. Short of looking at the airport layout in something like Airport Design Editor the progressive taxi is your best bet. Consider it a challenge to use the signs to get to taxiway Foxtrot, then turn on progressive taxi and see how close you got. I think there are addons that you can use to see the airport layout in the cockpit. Sorry, I don't use them so can't give you more help than that. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
July 12, 201510 yr Administrators http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=119551 Try this download. It a gauge that will show taxiways and gate numbers of any airport that you are at. July 12, 201510 yr You could also try Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) from Aivlasoft. It will show you the airport, gate numbers, taxiways, and runways in real time as you taxi. Of course, it does much more than that, too. I suggest you check out the website. The only downside to it is that it is payware, and some would call it expensive. I've owned it for years and find that it is indispensable. Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)
July 12, 201510 yr Moderator The OP could certainly try EFB as it has a 30-day free trial. It reads all your scenery BGLs and displays the airport runways, taxiways and gates. It even shows which gates have air bridges. It can run on a single PC but is best when run on a separate PC as you can maximise the display on a separate screen. I too am a very satisfied user and whilst it's not cheap it does a great job. Ray (Cheshire, England).
