Water Issues

Featured Replies

Good Morning Guys,

first of all... Steve thanks for your amazing work! After a long time I decided to step forward and move to DX10 and I couldn't be happier.

All is good, but I have noticed that around the airports, and when I am at low altitude, the water looks like this...

Any idea on why? It doesn't bother me much, but obviously something is wrong... hehehe :)

Take care and thanks in advance for your time and help!

Are you using REX4 for water textures? I had a similar issue and it was the texture, something like 32bit instead of DXT if memory serves. Sorry I'm not more help, this can be very frustrating.

edit; oh yeah, check that DX10 is ticked in REX if your are using it.

Hi Steve,

thanks a lot! I will check again but I am pretty sure that all my textures are set in DXT or DX10 compliant in REX. Any idea on which file controls that?

Thanks!

I just reinstalled REX4 yesterday and didn't even mess with settings.  I just injected a default set of textures (the reality theme) and then left REX4 alone.  Performed a couple of flights and the water looked so beautiful.

Hi Guys,

thanks a lot for your help!

I made a quick search amongst the community themes, and I installed one called Reality DX10. That sorted the issues, so obviously, something was wrong with the texture format. :) Thanks for your help !!!!
