I have a cunning plan my Lord.

Featured Replies

It involves discarding all those self flying all singing, all dancing, G1000 techno planes and using aircraft you strap to your bottom!

The San Juan Islands have a welter of grass strips, hard to locate grass strips and 'I've flown over it three times and still can't see it' grass strips. (Only kidding...mostly)

My plan involves lots of taking off and almost immediately landing

Don't be put off by that link. Click 'Download' and Agree. You're then presented with a list. Choose NA airports, OZx Libraries 1.0 AND 1.1

Aircraft: A2A Cub. Realair Scout, that type of thing. NO FLAPS! Let's see what you're made of.

This, of course, it it meets with your approval. Some time before the weather turns really nasty.

When we do this I'll go a couple of steps more... No flaps, NO TAIL! No elevator ( kind of ) etc.. HA!

On second thoughts......I'll put this on the back burner. Didn't Nick have a BoB fighter station sortie in mind?

EDIT: Roman, stop being silly! :Shame On You:

Yes, and I'd still like to do it but I'm a bit short on free time to set it up at the moment.  I could start working on it this weekend, with the plan of flying it the weekend after (Sat 26th Sept).  How does that sound?

More than happy to follow Ron round the San Juans this weekend, I rather fancied taking an Auster.....

As this IS a democracy I'll go with the flow.

Does an Auster have flaps?

EDIT: Yes it does! Is it Dave Garwood's J1?

Looks Good, I'll go and get that.

When I said 'Scout' I meant 'Decathlon'. Everyone knew that! Having said that, a flaps embargo would be going too far.

Here is Bob Rivera's repaint of G-AGVX "Pamela IV" for Dave Garwood's Auster J1 Autocrat. The geezer pilot is sitting at KORS awaiting instructions.

While the Mitchell U2 flying wing is a well done aircraft I've decided to change to the more "period" type following your choices & to celebrate it's 75th anniversary. Info on the spreadsheet. You can find your folded up sectional here.

And to irritate Ron I installed a Collins Pro-Line avionics suite into her. HA! :Shame On You: :LMAO:

A little video from the Old Sarum air show last weekend that I think you might like.  Off-topic I know, but posting in here as it's our "current" thread.

First time I'd seen anything like this!  All the aircraft are replicas, but even so it was great to see them flying.

Here is a picture of me and my dads Ercoupe
