I would appreciate any help and/or advice that anyone would be able to offer please.

I have FSX Acc and Win7 and purchased 3D Lights Redux, naively thinking that the lights would miraculously install in my add-on aircraft!  

Clearly that is not the case  and a lot of work is clearly needed to install in each aircraft's .cfg. I have read Scott's 'Easy how to guide' in the A2A Forum over and over, but when I look at each aircraft's .cfg, the [LIGHTS] section never resembles anything like his example, and despite my best endeavors, I am lost!  

Is there a good source of configs for recent aircraft stored anywhere by others with bigger brains than mine please? In my case this includes:

A2A C172
A2A Comanche
Aerosoft Airbus 319 & 320
Alabeo DA42
Carenado Phenom 100 & 300
Dodosim 206
Iris Grob Tutor
Leonardo MD11
Majestic Q400
PMDG J41, NGX, 747, 777, MD11

Help and advice from anyone who will take pity would be very much appreciated......

You spam, I'll stalk.

I seem to recall that 3D Lights upgrades the Mooney if you allowed it.  If you did, then I would suggest looking at the Mooney aircraft.cfg to see what it looks like.

 

That should give you some idea of what it's supposed to look like.

 

Other than that look one the A2A Simulations 3D Lights Redux section.  There are some user posted configurations there.  Who knows.. you might get lucky..

Besides that, a Google search also successfully offers links to custom user setups for 3D lights, for example by simply putting "Carenado Phenom 3D Lights" and then taking the fourth link: http://www.avsim.com/topic/450557-phenom-3d-shockwave-lights-setup-for-you/

 

Some of the newest addons might not yet have any config ready, of course. And by the way: the A2A planes do not use a specific config, as they already come with their individual 3d lights.
