October 11, 201510 yr Well I have tried everything I know to get ASN working - posted there but no feedback so me thinks this is not ready for a fresh install of V3 - it worked when I had 2.5 loaded but after dumping 2.5 I reinstalled asn and does not work now - any help on this one would be great Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr I also got that wow message but pressed okay and everything has been working fine ever since. That was on a freshly installed W10 with v3. Did you install into the default loaction (Program Files)? I didn't. I never ever do if I can prevent it.
October 11, 201510 yr Richard Had same problem until installed all 3 simconnects that seemed to fix the problem. Redgards Ted Kiser
October 11, 201510 yr Start ASN without P3D running. Then under settings select the path to your sim. I had the same problem. Drove me nuts.http://hifisupport.kayako.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/27/8/cannot-control-ambient-weather-parameters-error Resolution #3 did it for me. Richie Walsh

Thanks I did all of this - no difference I did not load that patch - thinking its part of the the full installer but will try that now That didnt work - tons of rights given - this is silly - wants to keep installing asn over and over - need an official installer not some hack Rich Sennett

October 11, 201510 yr Author just a thought Richard there were two folder paths to redo in ASN General settings. bob Thanks Bob aware of that also Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr Thanks Bob aware of that also looks like this patch is only for those who are running v2.5 and v3 along side each other. bob
October 11, 201510 yr Author looks like this patch is only for those who are running v2.5 and v3 along side each other. bob Exactly Bob and they should tell you this Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr You did install the full installer and after that the P3D v3 update...? The latter is mandatory.
October 11, 201510 yr Author You did install the full installer and after that the P3D v3 update...? The latter is mandatory. yes I did - I will try an unistall and fresh install one more time - thanks Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr Exactly Bob and they should tell you this I'm just getting around to installing v3 today, I'll put ASN on and see if I get the same result. I'm guessing the full installer is not v3 native? <p>Dassault Falcon, Lear, Embraer and Challenger and Cessna Mechanic.Broadcasting live from former Soviet Missile Silo.Rhys Legge
October 11, 201510 yr Author Yah definitely the installer as its looking for P3D V2 in the installer windows - have to wait - its a no go without P3D V2 installed Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr Er...? I installed ASN on a freshly installed W10 so no P3D v2 installed. Here is the procedure: - install the full version for P3D, which is only compatible with v2 (B5707) - make sure to NOT run ASN at the end of the install procedure: untick the option for that which is on by default - after quitting the full installer, so without running ASN, install the P3D v3 update (B5756) - now you can run ASN and let it install its additional software: make sure to point it to the P3D v3 folder (on my PC it pointed to the default ASN folder, so afaik not even the folder where I actually installed ASN) This worked flawlessly. As far as I can remember I didn't even have to change the paths in the settings window... but my memory is a bit bad so I am not sure. You might want to check that anyway. Anyway, you can install ASN for v3 perfectly fine without having v2 installed.
