August 28, 200520 yr I passed on the LD product assuming a 'must buy' on the 747, however after forum reviews I am reconsidering.simple question for those that have both; framerates?767 product appears a bit better?747 product appears a bit better?both are about the same? August 28, 200520 yr Hi Mike,Observations on my system:2D - The smoothest aircraft in my hangar is the LDS 767. The LDS is much smoother in 2d than the PMDG B747.Virtual - The best VC in my hanger is the B747. It is the first( and currently only) aircraft I fly from the VC. I'm a anal about guage update rates and the VC in the PMDG 747 is ground breaking. The virtual cockpit in the LDS is jerky and with the exception of checking for traffic or site seeing I do not use it. August 28, 200520 yr the LDS is a little better on frames. But considering the PMDG 744 is a much more complicated VC and you can do everything from it while the LDS is a little more limited, such as the FMC is non functional and you have to pop up the 2d version.Anyway, if you want to get one or the other, I'd suggest getting the 744. You might run into a few problems but they will be addressed as PMDG is always good on releasing patches to fix issues. Still waiting on the 2nd patch for LDS which will come who knows when

August 28, 200520 yr 747 may be a better choice if you are looking into the future. Nothing can compare to PMDG's support and there are many additional improvements coming. Plus its VC simply has no equals.Michael J. Michael J.
August 28, 200520 yr thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
August 28, 200520 yr Hi,On the 747 is it possible to deactivate features such as the passenger cabin or reflections in the virtual cockpit to save framerate ?Thanks.
August 28, 200520 yr You can eliminate the VC completely which effectively does away with the pax cabin, but you cannot remove vc cockpit reflections or the pax cabin separately.
August 29, 200520 yr Author Commercial Member The reflections and the cabin aren't things that substantially affect the framerate anyway - it's the gauges in other planes that really do that... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
