November 14, 201510 yr I was just wondering if it make sense to have 3 Nvidia gtx 760 4GB Video Cards with an Sli Bridge overkill or not? Would it help with perfromance or not Or should I just stick with what I have? Current Rig: i7-4970k 32gb DDR3 2X -4gb 760 GTX 500GB SSD for OS 250GB SSD for Prepar3d Windows 10. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
November 14, 201510 yr I answered your Q at the P3D forum, but I think yo will also run out of Power if not careful... Jorge
November 14, 201510 yr What Jorge said. I'm no expert, but if 2 760 4 gig cards is not doing it for you, i would say your at nothing adding a third one. Are you not getting good performance with 2 cards?
November 14, 201510 yr Moderator If your two cards right now are being maxed out while you fly, adding a third *may* show a perf improvement. If they are not maxed out, it should have no noticeable effect at all. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
November 15, 201510 yr The 760 is a rather weak graphics card. I would rather sell the two 760 and go for a single 980Ti. Or a 970 if you are on a budget. [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE

November 16, 201510 yr Agreed 3 cards do not scale well in general. whats required to run 3 760's is a complete waste. Huge power supply and x79/x99 chipset. Or a board with a PLX chip which can be more expensive. David Graham Google, Network+, Cisco CSE, Cisco Unity Support Specialist, A+, CCNA
November 16, 201510 yr Yep buy a 980 Ti - sell those other cards! Tri SLI with 760's might be 1337 in other games like Fallout 4, but in FSX / P3D etc a single powerful card is better (or SLI 980 Ti's hehe) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
