Regarding some of the issues reported here-  maybe I got a later file (purchased on Saturday 12/12).  Activation went well without a hitch.  I'm getting good fps after multiple times starting XP and flying this bird (which I love, what an immersive sim product!).  I haven't removed textures or downloaded the smaller texture sized pack.

 

I wanted to go direct to a waypoint later in my flightplan, so copied the waypoint to the clipboard, then into DIR INT, and pressed EXE, and the a/c flew direct to the new waypoint with the AP on.  Am I missing something?

 

I love this aircraft, even if they are a "gas-guzzler". ... living in Denver we never had a home airline that used this bird in all of my 21 years here, so flights on it have been rare (AA and Midwest).  I would love an MD-90 for XP, flew on one on DL several years ago and was amazed at the power-to-weight ratio and the quietness ahead of the wing.
