September 9, 200520 yr No problems here either....one of the most trouble frre addons in existence. "......I have had a slight problem with AC where, for no reason, panning around the VC no longer requires me to hold down the mouse wheel, just moving the mouse moves the view !!! However, i would then have to hold down the mouse wheel to move the pointer around..." Have you tried hitting F12 to toggle this on/off?Best wishesIsmetM
September 9, 200520 yr Same for me. What's the point of the VC in FS it doesn't have these kind of functions? Without AC, it's just a blurry version of the 2d panel.Allcott
September 9, 200520 yr >Have you tried hitting F12 to toggle this on/off?>No, i didn't know you could...if that's the cause, then it's even better... Thanks for thatGary
September 9, 200520 yr Never used Active Camera, as I fly from the cockpit ;) Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
September 9, 200520 yr Not a good excuse! :) Here's some features from the product page. Of course other than all this stuff, there's not much in Active Camera for you:Ambient sounds : sounds (cockpit noises, steps, buffeting, screeching) can be enabled/disabled through the Active Camera 2004 menu. Push and hold the mouse wheel or center button to pan everywhere in the virtual cockpit.Rotating the mouse wheel allows you to zoom in and out. It is not necessary to push and hold the wheelThanks to FS2004 interactive virtual cockpits, it is easy to move the mouse, pan and click, so allowing a more immerse way of flying. You can even walk in the virtual cabin as far as you wish. Use Num. pad keys to move left, right, back or forward, rotate left and right. You can still pan and zoom with the mouse in the virtual cabin. You can save up to 10 preset views per airplane (internal or external views). In the configuration dialog box you can define the head latency rate (0-2). We have programmed an algorithm simulating head movement that is dependant on the airplane motion (a bit like in real life). Test this amazing feature with turbulence (flying the DC-3) or playing aerobatics in the default Extra 300S or RealAir Marchetti SF260.We have programmed a built-in TCAS (Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System) in the Active Camera 2004 module. With this option enabled you can track any AI traffic flying in the vicinity of your aircraft. Operational purpose: It can be used if you wish to look out or if you suspect a traffic conflict. This is useful when, for example, ATC asks you to report traffic in sight or ATC reports you traffic. It is possible to padlock any point on the scenery window (Ideal for visual airfield patterns, click on the runway threshold). From the virtual cockpit simply click anywhere on the scenery and the pilot
September 9, 200520 yr I can't even find a problem, when there is suppose to be one in Active Camera!!:( According to Serge At Active Camera, DBS Walk & Follow is suppose to be incompatible with AC. To date I can't find any problems, other than the need to reassign a few keys, with this combination. It provides the best of both worlds, AC's VC capabilities, the flyby and approach views, Wing views for aircraft which include them in their VC models. While W&F is good for wing views for all aircraft that don't have them in their VC models, allows itself to detach the view from the user airplane both in the air and on the ground which makes for very interesting angles, as well as the capability for 360x360 degree control tower viewing and has a more stable external walk around the aircraft feature, although without the feeling of actually walking like in AC.
