Dreamfleet Baron RELEASED...........

Featured Replies

It's a bit more problematic than that - I don't have a credit or debit card that I could use for electronic purchases. This makes paying for the product impossible at worst, a hassle at best. An add-on would have to be downright stunning to be worth it ;) EDIT:I'm aware of SimMarket.com who accept bank transfers (which are free within the EU), but obviously they don't carry every product out there.

I believe the RealityXP Garmin GNS gauges launch and run the Garmin 400/500 trainers in the background. The Garmin 400/500 trainers -- the current ones at any rate -- are 16-bit Windows apps.

Well there you go ...Dreamfleet and Reality-XP ...true professionals in the FS game. :)Thankyou both Lou and Jean- Luc for your succinct replies.

regardsEd

>Believe it or not, we did NOT design the Lite version with>RXP users in mind, though we knew RXP users would be attracted>to it.>>We designed it as a low-cost alternative for those whose>budget prohibited them from spending $28.95.Okay then, thank you for the clarification. My misunderstanding. With that in mind, I find a Baron an odd choice for a Lite version. If I was on a budget, wanted to fly a Baron and would be satisfied using the default GNS 530, I would just fly the free one that comes with Flight Simualtor.I'm also sad to learn the Reality XP "Flight Line T" gauges are more or less on the back burner for now. I was looking forward to these more than anything, especially for use in the Bonanza.

THANK YOU Dreamfleet for this one! They have again produced a masterpiece which stands above the rest. This is again a true example from Dreamfleet how the general aviation aircraft should be modelled for FS! I enjoyed every moment flying this bird when I took her to a 1 hour 20 minute trip in VATSIM. Will fire it up again tomorrow.

It is also able to deal with RXP's super-smooth graphics. In essence, you need the latest OS to deal with the latest advancements in technology. Of course, I am sure Jean-Luc could give a more detailed explanation!Let me also add that the "Upgrade" that converts the Baron 58 Lite version to the Reality XP version, does NOT provide stand-alone versions of the RXP gauges. They will remain locked to the upgraded Baron aircraft. The Upgrade is just for those who down the line decide that they should have purchased the RXP version to begin with. So, Lite Version or RXP Version, choose carefully, but please do choose! ;-)Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg

Well I purchased the Fs Panel Studio and have during the last hour managed to make my Lite version glow with the RealityXP SN3308,430Gps, 530Gps, Gns GmaGtx, and Gns Vor. Really nice. And by the way thank you Dreamfleet for another top quality aircraft!

Does the DF Baron have a circuit breaker panel? For some reason beyond logic and utility, I really like it when sim aircraft have a circuit breaker panel.

>It is also able to deal with RXP's super-smooth graphics. In>essence, you need the latest OS to deal with the latest>advancements in technology. Of course, I am sure Jean-Luc>could give a more detailed explanation!A small correction to the above statement:IF (some of) Reality XP's gauges do indeed make use of 16-bit components / software (the Garmin trainers) or .NET, then the "latest OS" is NOT what you want to push to your customers. The "latest OS" being Windows XP x64, which does not run any 16-bit applications or code and does not to my knowledge currently have a release-quality version of .NET available.I do realize that us x64 users are in the minority for the time being, but some less savvy ones might take your suggestion to heart and then be disappointed when they were unable to make full use of the add-on on their machine running the said "latest OS" - Windows XP x64 :)x64 stuff aside, how big an impact do the Reality XP series gauges have on performance when screen resolution goes up? I read somewhere that it's "negliable", but can anyone give me numbers?I run FS2004 on 1600x1200, so that resolution is what interests me the most. Also, is the technology Reality XP uses more dependant on CPU power (like FS2004) or GPU power?
