Still a developing situation, but an Airbus traveling from Alexandria Egypt to the capitol of Cairo was diverted to Cyprus during a squawk 7500 situation.

It's been a while since we've seen a hijacking like this.  Evidently, this is not related to terrorism.

Regardless of the reason, hijacking a plane is still terrorism.

First and foremost the act of hijacking, whether it be an aircraft or other mode of transport, is a criminal offence. It is for due legal process to determine the motive.

 

To use the word hijacking; it can be said that there are those that hijack a thread on a forum and derail it. It is for the Forum Moderator to decide if the person has hijacked the thread by way of tone/language/change of topic, etc.

 

The ramifications for this poor soul far exceed the motives for reaching his estranged wife.
