Yes we are because care a not )0 has the gtn looking fine .. at dawn or dusk and for someone to suggest we mess with when its dark is absurd..... I like these plane cuz they are well modeled systems and ez on frame rate and they are still good looking and fun to fly although the gtn is dark I find the learjet has the darkest. Pleas fix this for us loyal customers ... If the gtn was brighter and consider these birds even more competitive to real air or a2a
May 17, 201610 yr lthendrix, It's not absurd, it's just trying to desperately work around an issue that is still not fixed. IMHO, Flysimware's Lear has great potential. They made a wise choice to model the Lear 35, having good speed and superb range, and not being too complex in terms of systems that need to be modeled. Also, by providing integration for the F1 GTN and 3rd party weather radar, they have already offloaded the task of developing these rather complex components to others, and rightly so. Hence, what remains is simulating the rest of the Lear's systems, which should not be too difficult a task, given the fact that the Lear is a 1970's aircraft with systems not much more complex than those e. g. in the Beech Duke. No need to simulate highly integrated electronic systems or come up with a Collins Proline glass cockpit implementation. Flysimware already did a great 3D model and a beautiful VC/cabin with superb night lighting. Now, Flysimware just needs to get the GTN VC integration right and fix the issues in the rest of the systems simulation. This could be *the* business jet addon, uniting perfect systems simulation with great visual appearance. Please Flysimware do not just stop here. Please finish the Lear. Dave P. Woycek
June 17, 20169 yr I'm too having this problem and as I just got the answer from a support ticket, they blame it on the F1 and doesn't seem to care. ___________________________________________________ Rafael Henrique Carelli
June 17, 20169 yr I'm too having this problem and as I just got the answer from a support ticket, they blame it on the F1 and doesn't seem to care. LOL I asked in the F1 GTN support forum and they said that the developer of the integration must take care that the lighting works out properly in the VC and that the GTN is treated as a light-emitting, self-illuminating gauge by the respective model. Maybe Flysimware and F1 should finally talk and resolve this together instead of sending their customers back and forth between the support forums. :Shame On You:  Dave P. Woycek

June 18, 20169 yr Just bought the aircraft, I feel the GTN is too dark during the day as well (in FSX). I have already adjusted the brightness with the F1GTN.ini file and still find it too dark when cockpit is not with the sun at my back. Several other AC developers have the gauge integrated into the VC without issue. (Carenado, RealAir, MilViz) Interestingly, toying with FSLabs FSLSpotlights as a daytime light on the GTN is giving some improvement but will need to tinker with that a bit. Joe Joe Lorenc

The GTN appears in the Lear's VC as a non-self-illuminating material. If you light it up with an external light source, it will become bright, like any other texture that doesn't emit light itself.
