May 14, 201610 yr I have the "world-models-master.zip", the "world-models0.7.6.tar.bz2" and the "w2xp-world-models:ext-LOD.7z" (and many more) libraries installed. Would I see a benefit from downloading any newer version? May 14, 201610 yr I have the "world-models-master.zip" This one would be new to me. I have a couple of world-models with different version numbers but they roughly perform the same. Is there any version recommended today? I would assume that the safest bet is to use the one that comes with your world2xplane app for self-made sceneries. For the prefabricated simheaven sceneries this may be different but I may be wrong. Hans
May 15, 201610 yr Moderator All the different versions around are now starting to cause me some support issues. Simheaven's sceneries use their own version which are not compatible with later versions of W2XP sceneries. My best advice is to always use the version that the person who produced the scenery links to (For my own pro sceneries, I recommend you use v0.8.0 that I uploaded to the org) You can install more than one version if needed and if you make and distribute your own scenery using W2XP, please also link to the version of world-models you used. Since world-models is opensource, modifying and redistributing it is perfectly fine, but please don't confuse users by not changing the name or version numbers ;-)
