AS 16 and ASCA settings

Featured Replies

If you start AS16 it wil start ASCA but you will not see an ASCA running pictogram on the taskbar.

If you want you can also start ASCA first and then AS16...

After a new complete re-install of the latest P3D.4 I am finding that the addition of ASCA to AS2016 increases VAS consumption quite a bit. That's even with bringing the settings down in both platforms. Does that seem right to all of you?

It's pretty much like any other ad on Lee. Depends on your settings. If ASCA is using 4096 textures it will use more VAS however I would not call it "quite a bit". Using normal (512-1024) textures, you should see nothing significant.

Re Starting AS16 & ASCA - one other thing to note:

Start AS16 -> ASCA starts automatically and minimizes to system tray

Close AS16 -> ASCA closes automatically

Start ASCA and then start AS16 - you must manually close BOTH AS16 & ASCA.
