AS16: Clouds -> detailed Thunderstorm Clouds to "enabled"

ASCA: full dynamics.

For me the best settings. :)

Note: If you have ASCA in full dynamics, you don't have to start it ever again, just run AS16

These 2 addons are one of the best addons that I have ever bought.  In VR, these addons make the sky environment ultra real.  I have it set to default settings (just reduced cloud draw to 60 - that is more than my eyes can see in VR from VC anyway).  ASCA is set to 512K clouds with Full Dynamics.  Click, set, minimize and forget the app - everything is done.

what would be the combo as16, asca and soft clouds? would that work together or would it be overkill?

I removed all rex products, found I didn't need the soft clouds. ASCA does a fine job using Full Dynamics.

System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A,  Intel i9-14900KF,  Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. WinWing FCU, EFIS, MCDU

AS16 and ASCA cover pretty much all of your needs, IMO...

You have the best dynamic effects, and combine it with superb graphics, all with unique smoothness.

Adapt it to your PC specs, and it'll be simply astounding!

I have to agree, the ACSA AS16 combo can't be beaten. I was a diehard REX cloud fan.

It'll be interesting to see what their SkyForce product will offer.

I disagree about doing away with REX clouds although I use FSX with DX10 fixer.  I found the textures of the ASCA clouds a little, I dunno....cartoony.  So I've gone back to use the REX soft clouds which provides a better representation I think.

There are some cloud representations which don't look good at all - cartoony, yes. But most of the time they are well represented and look not too bad. Although I sometimes do miss the soft cloud look

Today I'll try the ASCA.

Agreed.  I'm waiting for SkyForce to be released before I make a decision about purchasing the AS16/ASCA combo.

Have to say AS16 with ASCA and having full dynamics is awsome :)

I'm using the standard settings but does anyone have good reasonable settings to use or recommend ones?

Cheers

I use standard that way I never worry about this settings vs this setting (only Draw distance on my end is set to 60 due to being in VR VC all the time).  Default settings just look so good
