Fair enough.

I will probably stick with the iFly then.

$135 is worth the iFly, the Q400 and probably a payware airport on top of that.

It will undoubtedly be a great addon though.

Actually biggest gripe I see with the iFly 744 is with importing flight plans into the FMC.  With the PMDG birds you can use standard FSX ones or load from a file.  The iFly does neither.

I build flight plans with flight aware so was never bothered by that. I think PFPX can export plans to the iFly.

Anyways we are drifting off topic I think.

Matters not, brother, if we drift, in the absence of any new info...?

The PMDG 744v2 (v3?) will be my new P3D mount.

In theory, no, but we discourage discussing other devs here. The occasional "this dev does X, which is cool/suggested/etc" is fine. In general, though, it's discouraged. It can either start a fanwar, or could end up that our forum plays host to potentially negative opinions of other devs, and we wouldn't want this place to become known as hostile to other devs. If positive or negative things need to be said about other devs, they deserve to hear it and see it in their own forum (particularly the positive stuff - it's seriously appreciated by whomever receives it).

Understood, Kyle andso for my 744 fix I am back to the excellent (for its day) PMDG 744 for FSX.

Andre, pmdg guys are coders and flight sim technicians, not sales types who are in your face at every opportunity. If RR presented a quarterly newsletter to us, this is another job that takes him away from coding. As you see from the post by Paul above, flight sim guys are not noted for their salesmanship.

Maybe if every one stopped inquiring about the new products, the pmdg salesman inclination would come to the front and we would get some news, if RR considered it useful.

It will happen. While waiting, enjoy the 737/777 and for some of us oldies, the 747v1 and MD11.

Off topic but there is a new MD-11 coming to Xplane. It's from A.T.S they are super into realism so I suspect it'll be a good product mix that with Xp's night lighting and it'll be the perfect freight flying sim.
