October 29, 20169 yr Looking for some information on GSX regarding performance with this aircraft. Thanks Bill McCracken
October 29, 20169 yr You mean does GSX recognize the PMDG 777 and doors? Yes. It also allows you to tweak most things aircraft related, for example you'll probably disable the left door #1 since dual jetways are not widespread yet. It also recognizes the PMDG 777F as a cargo variant and pulls a loader up to the main cargo door. All is good. Dan Downs KCRP
October 29, 20169 yr Author Dan, Thanks for your quick reply. I was also concerned about any performance hit. A hit to FPS. Does it work with all default airports? Or do you have to buy additional one? My system Specs Windows10 Pro Intel i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 12 GB Memory 64 bit OS Nivida Geforce GTX 1070 Founders Edition with 8GB Prepar3D Ver 3.3.5 PMDG 777 ORBX Scenery Thanks Bill McCracken
October 29, 20169 yr Does it work with all default airports? Or do you have to buy additional one? You're getting into questions about GSX that would best be answered in the FSDT GSX forum. GSX doesn't have much impact on performance or VAS use..., there's some but none that I've noticed. The only inconvenience is most P3D updates need a corresponding couatl.exe update but FSDT is pretty quick with those. GSX works with any airport, and can be tailored in many ways following a pretty good user manual. Dan Downs KCRP
October 29, 20169 yr Author Dan, I did leave a message with FSDT GSX either last Thursday or Friday and have not heard back from them. Also can't find the message on their forum that I left. I have been having problems logging on to their site. Hence the reason I posted here. So based on your replies. I guess you would recommend GSX. Thanks. Bill McCracken
October 29, 20169 yr GSX works outside of FSX /P3D using the couti exe engine.. Very little impact, and you may get a stutter when you first load it. Your system is more than capable of running it System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. WinWing FCU, EFIS, MCDU
October 30, 20169 yr So based on your replies. I guess you would recommend GSX. I use GSX most flights, since I like to start a session as if I am arriving at the aircraft at a gate during a turn. As a minimum I use it for pushback and departure and marshaling (parking guidance) on arrival. The pushback is nifty in that you can customize where the pushback path is in cases where the left/right/straight options do not work because for example you are in an alley and you need pushed back to a taxiway six gates away. All you need is the basic skills with ADE to modify the apron paths in the AFCAD. Pretty nice. Dan Downs KCRP
October 30, 20169 yr Author Thanks to all for your replies. Dan BTW I received a reply today from FSDT GSX. Looks like I'm going to give it a try. Thanks Again. Bill McCracken
October 31, 20169 yr GSX is a must have with all planes in P3D in my eyes :-) You won't be disappointed. I used it with the Aerosoft Buses, PMDG 777.
November 1, 20169 yr As far as GSX goes, it has practically zero effect on performance for me. What I do notice though, it that when I first load up GSX at an airport (either before takeoff or taxiing to the gate) there will a brief couple of seconds where I'll get a stutter, but after that everything is back to normal. Best regards, Neal McCullough

Same here. But that doesn't really bother me.
