Back to the Garden

On today's trip the last of our Hawaiian journeys we will be seeing the sites of Oahu and Kauai. These areas offer some of the best that Hawaii has to offer and will definitely make a impression on all that fly over it. I will leave the commentary for the flight. This should be a good one. I will be starting at noon and flying my MD530

Just a note I have added a stop at Dillingham airfield PHDH, this will be right before we head of to Kauai. Its about a 80 mile trip to the next airport so if we want we can hop into a plane for that leg here. Also I have been having VAS issues with the Oahu scenery and have to lower my settings and I need this stop to replenish my memory for the trip to Kauai. I also found I have to do this at Ford Island too. I wont put this in the plan as it is only a mile away from a way point.

Josh - Thanks for the excellent flight! Once again SPECTACULAR!

A great showing!
From the far left goin clockwise - Ron, Jeff & Anders in MD 530s; Nick in the Bell 222B; Mike in TC's (Magnum PI) upgraded MD 530; Leon in the C172; Jeff in the red/white MD 530; Myself in the EC135 and rounding it out, "for now", Bert in the RV-7A.

Coming in over the southwest corner of Diamond Head crater.....

Revealing Diamond Head State Monument.

Slowing up over the USS Utah while approaching the Ford Island Naval Auxiliary Landing Field.

And down, checking out the hardware.

We have 2 newcomers! Peter Memmott, author of the great JoinFS program :good:
, in a Gazelle (aliased to the EH101). And the "quiet" :sorry: , not on Teamspeak, Bill? He was in a Maule w/ skis?? (aliased to a C185) right behind Nick in the 222. Mike is coming in to join us at PAK (Port Allen, Hanapepe).

Hangin' with Nick tracking the Kalalau Trail nearing Haena State Park on Kauai's north west shore.
shaka.jpg?dl=0 SHAKA DUDE!

Coming in underneath Nick at the very nice little Princeville Airport - Hanalei (HI01).

We've made it to our final destination of Lihue (PHLI), shutting down for a post flight chat. Bill decided to switch to something more appropriate - the Bell 206.

Notice ! Bill, whoever you may be. If you're reading this please reply.

Of course, all are welcomed in our sessions but some basic form of communication is necessary.

If unable to use the voice features of Teamspeak, text chat is available.

If you need help just let us know.. Happy to get something going for you.
