January 28, 20179 yr I decided to give the NOAA plugin a shot (in conjunction with Clouds Gold 1.4 beta) and if i change the weather to clear it doesnt stick.. NOAA redownloads the weather in a few seconds.. Is there no way to do a CAVOK and have it stick? Anyone else using this? January 28, 20179 yr Disable the plugin and then you can set CAVOK. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
January 28, 20179 yr Author Disable the plugin and then you can set CAVOK. Yeah that works but is a bit kludgy particularly in goggles. I was hoping I could somehow create a hotkey/joystick button to do that Asus Strix z790-e; 1000 watt evga SuperNova Plat; 14900k AC_LL 0.55 adp -0.050 253/253/355 CEPoff (CB-1pass 39200 80c, msfs peak 92,avg 60-78c, astrorender 95c,room76F); 64GB(dual 32) cl32 6400 at 6400 xmpII F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK, Asus Ryuo III 360mm; Thermaltake v51 Case; Gigabyte 4090 OC; VR-Crystal; Dofreality H6; Astrosite
January 29, 20179 yr Dumb question folks: I've followed a couple of topics here and at the org about the NOAA weather plugin and I was able to download the plugin, I can't get to the python interface download, via the link from the NOAA plugin. It would help if someone could give a quick an dirty instruction on how to install, thanks. January 29, 20179 yr Simply get & run, chosing the options to install only what you want installed ( Python in this case ) from: http://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather under "Win installer" on the right pad menus... January 31, 20179 yr Author Can anyone point out advantages to using the NOAA plugin over default real weather.. ie: better metar data, more accurate or? February 1, 20179 yr Basically the way it interprets some METAR fields and makes them reflect in X-Plane, particularly variable winds, gusts and situations under which turbulence is expected. Also the much increased resolution of the fetched data ( wind, temp and turbulence aloft ). Better merge of data between adjacent report regions. Overall this results in still the best weather injector I was able to use with X-Plane.
