Thanks everyone, but when the developer chips in with positive quotes from select people they have already sold to, I get suspicious - hardly likely to be fair and unbiased is it! I've been looking around and the bad reviews from users I've seen put me off too much. I think I'm going to hold onto my Christmas money until the Dreamfleet 727 patch is out. I'd like to try something bigger and more comprehensive anyway and Dreamfleet also offer the refund if you don't like it. Plus their forum seems to give a very unbiased account and offers lots of solutions if any problems arise. I've heard that Eaglesoft's forums are heavily edited and full of positive spin - puts me off.Happy Christmas all.

Hmm, we didn't start this thread. Satisfied users have offered their own best thoughts on our products in a public way without our input at all. Why try to turn a positive thread about Eaglesoft into a negative?Glad to hear that you will pass on this one:-)From your tone you sound like a certain person who has been shutdown in two different forums that we are aware of...Just noticed your signature is only 1 digit different then mine...what a coincedence:-)

Actually I picked up on where the thread started which was asking about frame rates after I had read elsewhere about needing a fast computer for the Cirrus. The thread only turned positive after your direct input turned it that way. I am new to simming and came here looking for impartial advice as to what to buy as I only have a couple of add-ons. Your attitude has turned me away from Eagle Soft - well done, good PR. :D

Seems pretty plain to us as well L. Adamson:-)Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Gotta wonder why your signature is only one digit off from mine...just curious, whatever motivated you to use such a unique N Number?

The fact is I am a customer, but unlike you I didn't vote with my MOUTH, I used my brain. I had the option to purchase or not, but unlike you I decided to make my own decisions, not have them made for me by people who may, or may not, have an axe to grind. I told you as genuinely as I can, but you disrespect my informed opinion because it doesn't match with your own, utterly uninformed one? Who's getting the bad press here, do you think?Your problem, not mine. I only hope you don't purchase anything from Eaglesoft, because if you ever need support you'll find people in their forums who are rather good at exposing people like you for what you are.Allcott

Mr "Nq401 etc"I'm going to come to Ron's rescue here. You are clearly mischief making. You have logged on deliberately with a confrontational username and despite having a mixture of reasonably candid reviews you are equally clearly only interested in winding up and over-pressing whatever your agenda was in the first place.I suggest you bow out quietly because you are on the cusp of making an idiot of yourself on the wrong day of the year. There's a good chap.Rob Young

Anyone have any tips for increasing FPS? I get stuttering when I fly either plane. Zero AI traffic, a default small airport, and no weather and I can barely manage 18 fps with the sr20. With dips into the low teens. The 22 is worse. I can edge out 20 fps in level flight, but as soon as I turn, the rate drops and the stuttering gets very noticable. I've tried turning off hyperthreading, but that makes little difference (maybe 1 or 2 fps). Before the "learn to tweak your PC" crowd chimes in, I run the following addons smoothly (among many others): DF 727, DF A36, PMDG 737, DF Baron. I lock my fps at 25 and it rarely dips below 20. Of course any plane gets the occasional stutter here and there, but with the Cirrus, it is constant. I only use the lite model, with no VC. Hmmm, from the feedback we've seen, your experience is unique. Not sure what to say since you seem to be someone who has a well oiled system. One suggestion, weatherclouds and other sim settings can have a significant impact with any addon. Not saying this is your case, just trying to help:-)

Here is a copy of a message I have just received from a friendly member of the Eagle soft team - You have following message from n4gix.------------------------------------------------------Subject: Message: Go away, you filthy troll! If this is what you get for asking a simple question about frame rates on Christmas day, I can't imagine what I would have got had I actually bought one of your products but didn't like it. I had no agenda other than finding out more about one of your products and your reputation. Obviously, I have now found out about your reputation first hand as well as your attitude to potential customers. Thank you for saving me money. I'll leave you to get back to your Turkeys.

Hmm, I'm surprised that a team member contacted you in such a manner. This is not now, nor will it ever be our policy. The member in question is now on the hotseat and I assure you that this will not occur again. You have insulted a number of responders here so why would you be surprised when they call you on your agenda. I am awaiting your answer as to what motivated you to use such a unique N Number for your signature?

Who have I insulted?
