A/P not disconnecting.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I experience a problem when disconnectiog the A/P at final approach.

I press Z twice but the A/P seems not to disconnect.

What is the right procedure? Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Christos

This post here in the forum deals with this topic.  It might help understand the difference between the soft AP disconnect using the button on the yoke and the hard disconnect with the disconnect bar.

It doesn't deal with why the AP won't disconnect with you press the "Z" key on short final.

Look at your PMDG Options keycommands in the FMC and see what it has for A/P disconnect.  You can change this.
