Now if THAT doesn't convince the naysayers to ditch their old sim for XP, I don't know what will.

I downloaded these lights a while back and in combination with the realistic halo mod, the lighting is so much better at night.

EDIT: I see that the Youtube video creator used an external FX plugin that is no longer available, due to legal reasons.  Without putting too much drama into this, there appears to be a payware version of the same FX plugin, but I still searching for it.  Some folks have said you can achieve similar looks with MAXX FX or even RTH, if this is the look you're going for.  Considering this is as night, I suspect a couple of simple dataref tweaks can bring out more brightness to the lights, including the aforementioned halo tweak from the org.  All in all, this vid looks pretty realistic, and that's where there is a huge selling point for XP.

Jim please let me know if you find the plugin free or not - I would purchase it

Ah now I remember MAXX FX put the squash on that blu-plugin - I have both

So it was X-Aviation that complained?  I wasn't able to get exact details of the legal complaint filed, so I could only assume that the plugin was created by a business and perhaps someone ripped it off?  No matter though, if MAXX FX fits the bill, then I may have to look into this if LR doesn't finish the environmental aspects in time.

I would assume so as its the only place you can buy it - playing around with both I favor MAXX FX - I think it was more compatible with Xenviro - again cant remember at the moment

There was a white light/industrial light plugin on X-plane.org that simulated the same effect in XP10.  Doens't seem to work in XP11 though.  Hope we can find a substitute, I fly XP11 for daytime flights and XP10 for night flying because of the addon.

This is what I currently use (along with the halo fix): http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/36139-hdr-lighting-upgrade/

I have another add-on I will test tonight and report back, possibly with screenshots as well.
