Great XP11 video

Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with the combo.  Apologies for the extremely small type...it's the disadvantage to 4K resolution.  Great visuals but trying to read the FPS needs a magnifying glass. lol

With the extra "blur" to the lighting, it blends better when you're low on the horizon and you can see the city lights ahead.  Using the different settings in Blue FX can make a really big difference.

I shot this during another daytime test from KLAX to KSBA.  I used the blue filter to even out the coloring a little and I think it looks a little more real.

The Real Halo, combined with the White Lights and Blue FX should give you a very true to life experience, unless of course you use XEnviro, then you're on your own.  :P

Just for everyone's info, I can confirm that White Lights, and Blue FX work just fine with xEnviro. The look of the Halo fix wasn't to my taste, but it works OK if you like very bright lights.  When you combine them with this xEnviro-specific lights mod the result is beautiful. XPlane's night environment never ceases to amaze me... seeing all those cars throughout the city on approach, then the entire cockpit slowly being illuminated as you pull into the gate. It just doesn't get any better   https://www.aerosimgaming.com/files/file/17-xenviro-lights-environment-mod/

These are all XP10

Here's how it all looks at night (pardon the low resolution)

So I created a test scenario, sitting at a stand at KBOS, in the evening.  I activated the Real Halo, new lights fix and Blue FX.  Below are screenshots from that combo, with the last one being the result of changing the coloring in Blue FX.  I kinda like how Blue FX works on the fly, with a nice half screen preview so you can see what the results would be.  There more to it and I'll experiment further.

Beautify!

I need those files.

If the HP sodium lights didn't have those fake lens effects I'd say it's the most realistic sim video I've ever seen.  Those need to go though.

This is the best i have seen from any flight sims but those lights are too bright , reminds of watching a cricket match at night in a stadium.

There is a light fix for US / Europe @.org haven't tried it.

If you read what the author wrote about changing the settinsg in the txt file, then you know you can adjust the lighting to suit your own wants and needs.  What I showed was "out of the box", and not necessarily set in stone.  Remember, XP has a lot of configuration options hidden within, so make a backup of whatever file you want to work with and experiment, just like you could with utilizing Lua scripts for manipulating the datarefs.

Yup, that sure looks good. XPlane absolutely nails wingflex animation too

As for Blue FX, it still lives and breathes on the internet, though the original author has removed any evidence of it (as seen from the link he included with the documentation for it).  It's a no nonsense plugin that does a very good job adjusting colors to suit the wants and needs of the user, it's just a shame that it was forced out of the mainstream.  A couple people here at AVSIM are aware of it and if you have seen the Youtube video, there is a link to it that still works. To preserve the chain, I will speak no more of it on the forum but if anyone wants it, let me know as I will take full responsibility for the provision. :)

I'm excited about XP11. I just need it to go final and get my addons moved over. I also need XPUIPC and XSquawkbox to work.

What amazing lights...

I really wish Laminar would integrate some of this stuff natively as it all looks so much better than default

...those lights are too bright...

I agree.  If cities were that brightly lit in real life, any pilot flying over them would be blinded!
