January 21, 200521 yr "The last Japanese registered Airbusses were retired last year because they didn't work out for the operator"Are you 100% sure of that statement ;)Dan.
January 21, 200521 yr >You can forget Japan.>The last Japanese registered Airbusses were retired last year>because they didn't work out for the operator.>Currently no Japanese airline is even interested in talking to>the French and the Japanese government is strong enough the>French can't force them into buying the aircraft through>threatened trade sanctions.Really?Than this photo is either fake or it must have been taken using a time machine!http://www.airliners.net/open.file/756812/M/ And it also seems that those Japanese can't keep their fleet history up to date ;-)http://www.ana.co.jp/eng/aboutana/corporat...assi/list3.htmlAnd that's just ANAWolfgang
January 21, 200521 yr "767 is a disaster. Could be because I've only flown them in dense packed configuration...."Missed this yesterday. One thing I would never want to do is fly the 767 in this config. Throw in some unruly kids and a strong headwind, and I would only call it a nightmare. The A300/A310 can be found in the same config with some carriers.Last international 767 flight I had was on USAir. It was quiet, roomy and even the seat pitch was such that I could get out of my window seat into the aisle without disturbing the adjacent passenger.I've never flown the A330 or A340--but they seem the closest current widebodies to the 767 in terms of seat layout by browsing seatguru.com-John
January 21, 200521 yr Exactly, Tom. Same deal with the price of prescription drugs (to a point), we in the US pay for the research and testing. Thus the $50 pills. :) BobK
