April 19, 20179 yr Saturday, 22nd April 1900hrs BST (you work it out, I can't) Although spring is here, in Innsbruck it's still fairly chilly. So it's off to sunny Italy for a taste of La Dolce Vita in Roma. Olé! (wrong language ) Bravo! Sunset in Rome is about 20:00hrs local and the flight should take about 3 hours. So departure from LOWI ought to be 1600. First stop Bolzano,(an Orbx freeware airport) tucked away in a tricky little valley. A modicum of planning (speaking for myself) is in order. Palma next (likewise an Orbx freeware airport) Pisa of leaning tower fame follows. Sadly, I couldn't locate any buckshee scenery for this and I for one won't be spending on it) The same goes for LIQS Ampugnano and LIRV Viterbo, a military airfield where I'm sure we'll be given a warm welcome. Finally to Rome the eternal city. Yay! Er, not quite. I've had to do a Ryanair on you. Boo! Because of the exorbitant landing fees at Ciampino we have to finish the flight at LIRU Urbe and transfer by coach to Rome, a trip of about 20 kilometres(sandwiches provided. Flight plan is HERE PLN and PLG Aircraft: Something reasonably speedy. I'll be in this: http://www.finnglish.co.uk/scrns/icc1.jpg Grr! won't let me post a piccie. Dagnabbit!
