Well,

since I just re-installed it ( :-) ) I'm willing to even accept the year being fixed in time somewhere in 2014....

I also accept no Seasons.

I just would like to turn that car traffic intensity down in XP11, and there is no slider to do it directly. I guess that reducing the Scenery Complexity as a whole may have that effect, but I would really like to be able to turn cars to none, just as I do with AI aircraft... to save CPU / GPU for more important stuff like, for instance, but not only, running at least 3 flight models per frame...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

cant you do that in the cfg file or with the plugin ?

I don't know about how to find it in a xp11 cfg file and I didn't investigate if any plugin can be used for reducing / eliminating cars on roads?

As of the latest beta, LR have said that cars are 'free', i.e. they do not impact performance at all, apparently because they are outsourced from the main CPU thread. They are even contemplating increasing traffic density by default because of this: http://developer.x-plane.com/2017/05/three-performance-optimizations-for-x-plane-11-02/
