Keeping V4 addon Scenery in memory longer?

Featured Replies

I have that in V3, is "TextureMaxLoad" blamed for this?

I'm assuming developers will need to update their scenery as I'm sure it was done as a vas saving technique.

I knew this would happen. It's really bad in Latin Vfr Miami.

me too, seeing it in lots of ported scenery so far. I think the developer would need to recompile the scenery because as you say it was done deliberatley by some devs to save VAS, its not a P3d thing its the way the models were designed

Yeah, I still run into the black buildings phenomenon. I solved this in P3Dv3 with this tweak.

[DISPLAY]

TextureMaxLoad=30

Correct running myself at 24 :-)

The problem with that tweak is it introduces stutters so I removed it from my cuff. The whole point of V4 is that stutters are greatly reduced.

No stutters when the value is based on your local hardware ;-)

So how do we properly determine what value to use for TextureMaxLoad then?
