Embraer 120 FREEWARE with VC

Featured Replies

no VC in the freeware version, but it is a nice looking model

Sorry should have said WITHOUT vc! As you say, fantastic model. . . .not surprising from Erik though.

It's a great looking airplane, but consider this freeware version as advertising for the payware version to come (nothing wrong with that IMHO). It uses the default Kingair panel, but the left prop rpm and fuel gauges are inoperative and the readings on other gauges are clearly out of sync with the model. The flight model (FDE) was put together just for this demonstration, so the flying characteristics may be different on the final version.Dale

Yes, I realise that now. Despite a great visual model it's not a lot of good for flying in its present form. As you say, it's a promotional pack for the coming payware which I might check out, when it's released, as a result of seeing the excellent Erik Cantu model and nice repaints too.

They released merely because the payware has been put on hold indefinitely. From the horses mouth. Too many personnel changes to be able to keep it going.

I'm glad whatever "staff" problems you may have had are sorted out now Jeff, I'm really looking forward to seeing this finished. I've had a thing about these ever since Bill Grabowski did an amazing panel for it back in the "old days" :-)Dreamfleet Project ManagerGreatest Airliners - DC-8Greatest Airliners - 727 Whisperjethttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg

He sure did Paul. Good to hear from you again. :-)I remember when we first started the project he was the first person we asked but I think there were some time issues on his part or ours, I can't remember now.At the time we started growing like a weed also. Over the last few months we went through several personal changes as people had real life stuff going on, etc., but we managed ok. It should be a first class product. We're pretty picky...hehe.

I, too, am looking forward to the payware version. I have a couple of old friends/flight instructors who are now flying Brasilias for SkyWest, and I'm looking forward to showing them what's possible in a $50 flight sim and a $25-$35 add-on. :-)

Great to see Bill is now with a 1st class org. making the MD-11 panel...the guy is a fantastic flightsim contributor. I will buy the MD-11 when it comes out just to throw some money his way. :)I too am pretty excited about the DC-8 project as I'm currently flying UPS all over the globe (hehe, betcha' never guess which aircraft). It would be awesome to get some stick time in the Douglas tube with those big honkin'CFM engines. :-lol (hope that version is in the mix Paul).Regards,Steve Drahttp://img47.photobucket.com/albums/v144/S...Dra/banner1.jpgDownload my planes at Avsim here:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...&Go=Change+View

After spending quiet some time going back and forth between folders full of photogaraphs and doing a lot of frowning and head scratching, I think it's got to me at last. I've always had a thing about old Boeings, especially the 727 and 707, but having used the sim and poured over manuals and photos, I think I finally understand..........Douglas DC-8 - like a 707, but with character ;-)Dreamfleet Project ManagerGreatest Airliners - DC-8Greatest Airliners - 727 Whisperjethttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg
