July 24, 20178 yr Author Glad to see that it looks great and that it was at last released; they have put a lot of work into it. Will install it when I return from vacation! Does it seem FPS friendly? Rich
July 24, 20178 yr Moderator I noticed no change at all. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

July 24, 20178 yr Moderator Yes Jim - I had UTX already installed and the GEP3D interface picked it up just fine. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
July 25, 20178 yr lol, I was installing GEP3D and was thinking I had installed my UTX stuff already, It didn't pick those up until the full install was completed. I was worrying about the UTX while GEP was installing, but in the end, all was fine. July 25, 20178 yr Moderator LOL. I thought the same JimC, but all came out just fine. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
July 25, 20178 yr I've installed the new version too, and it looks really nice in combination with UTXv2. I can not exactly say what changes were made, but I think at least in Germany the the scenery looks a bit nicer compared to the previous version of GEP3D. But one problem remains in terms of UTXv2. I really like the UTXv2 lightning over the FTX lights, but even when using P3Dv4 where you get autogen till horizon, parts of the UTXv2 street lights pop up when you move over the scenery. Have you noticed this problem, too? Patric
July 25, 20178 yr OK, I've restored UTX settings within UTX interface and then I made a new standard light-assignment by using the "Lights for UTX interface" tool. Now sometimes only the lights pop up at a great distance - so it's looking really good now. :) Patric
August 5, 20178 yr Sorry if this have been covered, but how does GEP + UTX fair against Orbx Global + Vector performance and visuals wise? Thanks James Intel 10900k @ 5.1 HT on, Nvidia 3090, 32GB RAM @3800mhz, 1TB NVME Drive (P3Dv5.1), 1440p 48' Ultrawide Monitor.
August 5, 20178 yr I have no idea, but I'm not investing in Global and Vector in order to find out. Something tells me that UTX wins out in FPS department and I have no complaints against it (other than street lights hiding behind distant horizon clouds, but I'm never on the ground long enough to care about that and I reckon that is a P3D problem anyway) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's
