August 12, 20178 yr Hi, There was I flying out from Juneau Harbour in one of the MILVIZ DHC-2 Beavers when I spotted a strange white patch on a distant island. As I drew closer this alarming scene unfolded: So, I closed down the sim and reloaded afresh, took off and flew a different approach. Again, the Captain of this same cruise ship seemed intent on another Kamikazi mission: I landed to take a closer look: Like the Concordia this could be another challenging salvage job unless, of course, the hull survived unbreached. Deary me, I would like to be a fly on the wall at this inquest? Mike
August 12, 20178 yr Heh, yeah the ships can do some peculiar things sometimes. Not that long ago, I came across on that seemed a bit special; https://streamable.com/yan1u [MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]
August 12, 20178 yr Author Well, would you believe it, looks like this actually happened to a paddle wheel vessel in 2007: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/18654864/ns/travel-news/t/cruise-ship-runs-aground-band-plays/ ....and, if you read the article, this wasn't the first time it had been involved in a misadventure, including running aground! Coincidence? Or perhaps there's more to this simming lark than we are being told..LOL! Mike
August 12, 20178 yr I believe ships follow a set path, and you can customize it to avoid land, otherwise that happens and they go straight into land.

Amazing stuff! Regards, Mike 😀
