About Me
Have loved aviation since I was a kid. My dream someday is to get my private pilot license. When I am not at work or on flight sim, I am probably working on my novel or on my Playstation 4 shooting stuff.

I think I am going to wait a bit longer. I am hoping we see RTX 3080's with more than 10gb of ram later this year or sometime next year. The 10gb that the RTX 3080 currently comes with seems a bit low. And seeing as I am building from the ground up and not upgrading 1 or 2 components, I want to see what happens with the next generation of CPU's before building a new PC.

@DaveCT2003 I look forward to your review of the Bravo Throttle Quadrant. Question...will this be a written review or video review? Anyways, I saw the announcement of the Thrust Master TCA Airbus product and as cool as that product looks, it was not exactly what I was looking for. As a fan of flight sticks over yokes, the Airbus Flight stick is great but I wanted a throttle quadrant that was more versatile. I am an airliner kind of simmer also but with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, I would love to mix things up and do more GA flying. When I found the Honeycomb Aeronautical product, I was hooked. And at that price range, it is an absolute must have for my needs. I love that this product has reverse thrust, trim wheel, landing gear, and so much more. Airbus or Boeing, Cessna or Beechcraft...this product looks very promising at a VERY reasonable price. Every review I have seen regarding the Alpha Yoke has been very good, I am not sure yet but seriously considering trying a yoke. I am torn but the Bravo is 100% going to be a part of my flight sim experience.

28 GPU Benchmarks
CaribbeanCLANK replied to Ianrivaldosmith's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Looked at this earlier today. I am still going to wait for the next generation of GPU's for my new build. Once I see how well they handle MFS, I will decide on my GPU and CPU. No point buying a RTX 2080 or RTX 2070 Super just yet especially when we are so close to a new line of GPU's. I am patient enough to wait a few months.- 1 reply

Now I do not have the sim. I played for several hours yesterday at a friend's house. We flew over default London and Orbx London and we did like what we saw with Orbx's product but that was from altidude. At a glance we did NOT notice the low res quality of Orbx's assets. Flying several hundred feet in the air we did not see these details or should I say "lack of details"....IGNORANCE IS BLISS!!!!! 🙄 Going on the reputation of Orbx from our library of FSX and P3D product, we didn't even think twice. Luckily, my friend only bought London and didn't purchase other products. I just shared this video with him. I would love to see what FlightBeam's KDEN has to offer compared to the handcrafted version in the sim. After watching this video, I am curious to see comparisons of other products. A bit disappointed in Orbx but hopefully they fix this.

Today I've come to appreciate...
CaribbeanCLANK replied to W2DR's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
As a default sim...Microsoft Flight Simulator is a very big step in the right direction. No other sim has offered a more complete world straight out the box. "Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting." So, let's have a bit of patience...give the sim a chance to grow, develop and evolve. -
I am not home at the moment. Stuck in the Caribbean waiting to move back to Cali. In the meantime I will try it out with Game Pass on a laptop.🤪 I am not expecting much but better than nothing. I will NOT purchase the Super Sexy Deluxe Premium version until I am home and I build my new rig sometime next year. It will actually work out well as the new Nvidia cards and maybe new CPU's will be available by that time.
