GNS and Emuteq Hardware

Featured Replies

I just wanted to let everyone know, if they don't know, that the Emuteq Garsim GNS 530 works beautifully with this new version of the RXP GNS 530. Every bit as good as it worked in FSX/9. Great to have it back - haven't flown an airliner since the release!

Thank you for your kind words! This is great news and knowledge for all Emuteq customers!

because of favorable US $ to British Poundss this looks like a good buy. EMUTEQ.

But Pound is going up again

It wasn't cheap when I bought mine (AUD vs GBP), but it is a great purchase if you wish to invest the money. :wink:

Wow, that company makes some exceptional hardware interfaces that look like they are built extremely well (not your typical Saitek panel clunky feeling rotary encoders). Does anyone know if there are any North American re-sellers of the Emuteq Garsim GNS530 interface? I'll end up buying one either way, just wondering if there's a way to cut down on shipping costs to Canada...

Not that I know of, they ship only from the UK as far as I know.

Instructions for Emuteq hardware:

1) Replace the 530_xxx entries with (NOT the 530_2 entries!):

530_CONTRAST_INC=win+y
530_CONTRAST_DEC=win+z
530_CONTRAST_RESET=
530_POW=win+s
530_COMFLIP=win+q
530_NAVFLIP=win+w
530_CDI=win+F9
530_OBS=win+v
530_MSG=win+F13
530_FPL=win+a
530_PROC=win+F2
530_NAV=win+c
530_DTO=win+F3
530_MNU=win+F4
530_CLR=win+F5
530_ENT=win+F14
530_RANGE_INC=win+h
530_RANGE_DEC=win+i
530_LKNOBO_L=win+j
530_LKNOBO_R=win+k
530_LKNOBI_L=win+F6
530_LKNOBI_R=win+F7
530_LKNOBPUSH=win+n
530_RKNOBO_L=win+o
530_RKNOBO_R=win+F8
530_RKNOBI_L=win+F10
530_RKNOBI_R=win+F12
530_RKNOBPUSH=win+F11
530_EXPORTFPL=
530_SWAPRADIOS=win+F15

2) In your <P3Dv4>\Modules folder, edit FSUIPC5.ini as you did in FSX by adding:

1=P1,12,K81,40
2=P1,0,K83,40
3=P1,1,K83,40
4=P1,13,K87,40
5=P1,2,K89,40
6=P1,3,K90,40
7=P1,7,K75,40
8=P1,6,K74,40
9=P1,5,K118,40
10=P1,4,K117,40
11=P1,14,K78,40
12=P1,16,K120,40
13=P1,17,K86,40
14=P1,18,K124,40
15=P1,19,K65,40
16=P1,20,K67,40
17=P1,21,K113,40
18=P1,10,K119,40
19=P1,11,K79,40
20=P1,8,K123,40
21=P1,9,K121,40
22=P1,15,K122,40
23=R1,27,K72,40
24=R1,26,K73,40
25=P1,25,K114,40
26=P1,24,K115,40
27=R1,23,K116,40
28=P1,22,K125,40
29=P1,29,K126,40

Note that the number following the 'P' and 'R' must correspond with the number the Emuteq is identifed with in the INI file:

e.g. mine is a 1:

[JoyNames]
AutoAssignLetters=No
0=T.Flight Stick X
0.GUID={BF8B1130-EEF1-11E6-8001-444553540000}
1=GarSim 530
1.GUID={88E60050-9152-11E7-8001-444553540000}

3) Edit the panel config by adding in the correct section, e.g.:

gauge00=rxpGNS2!GNS_530_1, -28,-12,155,150

this is mine for the Realair Piston Duke

But this only works in a 32 bit environment and so not P3Dv4?

No, I have it working perfectly in P3Dv4 as per the method I posted
