September 29, 20178 yr PMDG Ops Ctr reports there are updates x2 available for 737NGX for P3D v3 and P3D v4. I selected "Install Update" and pressed "OK" the message disappeared from the Ops Ctr window without any action being taken while the Ops Ctr shows the hand written window "You have no notifications!" I have run the Operations Center as administrator. I have uninstalled all PMDG aircraft and re-downloaded the installers within an hour ago. I download windows Visual Studio 2010 x86 redistributable file, when run I was told that I had a more up to date version of the module. I have shut Win Defender down and excluded the Ops Ctr from being scanned. There is no other anti-virus running. Currently only have PMDG 737NGX installed: P3D v3 - 1.20.8413 P3D v4 - 1.20.8413 **EDIT** I have submitted a ticket: 00D-216184D7-0411 Thank you. Rob \Robert Hamlich/
September 29, 20178 yr Hi Rob, check the OpsCenterUpdater.log located here C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center. Perhaps it will provide a clue. One thing to look for is a 403 code from a server, meaning the server you happen to be trying to download files from doesn't have the file. That is useful information for support when they respond to your ticket. Dan Downs KCRP
September 29, 20178 yr Author Hi Dan, thanks for your reply. I checked the log before I posted this thread. I'll check again and see what it says and update the ticket. **EDIT** The PMDG Operations Center.log is showing "Error opening key: 2" but that's it. The Updater log doesn't show anything that would lead me to think there were any connection issues. I'll see what the folks at support have to say. Weird one, I've never had issues with this PC with anything. \Robert Hamlich/
October 2, 20178 yr Hi Rob, I am also having the exact same issue and followed the same steps with no luck either. Are you able to download liveries? I can't on my end (exact same symptoms - no action being taken by Operation Manager) . Looking at the logs, it says "Download failed"; however, I am able to reach the direct URL of the livery file and manually install it. Please keep us posted. Thank you. October 2, 20178 yr I had this problem for a few months and finally got it resolved after a lot of experimentation. In my case it was due to having P3D v3 and P3D v4 on the system at the same time. Your may be a completely different cause but will post my OP here just in case: p.s. I also had the same problem. It wouldn't download liveries or updates but I could access the liveries via a url and install them manually. October 2, 20178 yr Sometimes the disabling of IPv6 does the trick. Not all ISPs have the IPv6 capability, the difference being the size of the IP address. IPv4 is the old way. Dan Downs KCRP
October 3, 20178 yr Author Tried disabling IPv6, no change. It would be very odd that the issue is due to P3D v3 and v4 being installed at the same time. I have FSX:SE, Dovetail FSW, P3D v3 and v4 installed and have not had any issues with any of my apps. I'm awaiting more information from Kyle at the support desk. \Robert Hamlich/

Sylvain Choquel PMDG Ticket support number: 3C7-21644A8C-0402 Very rare occurrence with PMDG, the only issue I ever had was with the MD11 when it first came out, nothing since then. Kyle did mention to look up the pmdg_updater_log.txt located in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center\Updater There may be something that is causing that will appear in that log. \Robert Hamlich/
October 3, 20178 yr @HUSSAR I'd uninstalled the planes from P3D v3 while having them installed in P3D v4. This was the trigger that led to my problems. Putting them back into P3D v3 didn't fix the problem. It was only when I completely uninstalled P3D v3 and make sure there was nothing PMDG P3D v3 related in the registery is when the problem went away. October 3, 20178 yr Author Well, maybe that is what I am going to have to do unless PMDG can figure the issue out. I think all the aircraft will run in P3D v4, I just won't be able to update them. \Robert Hamlich/

If you can manually download/install a livery, then something on your computer is interfering. Not running the OC as an admin, or allowing some other program to restrict its access to the internet are the main causes. It is usually the latter (specifically any AV other than Win Defender, since after-market AV essentially exists to get in the way of life). Given that the updaters are actually separate programs, and are also failing, this, again, points to some other program getting in the way. Kyle Rodgers

Which updater? One can download the aircraft installer but they do not include the updated modules. I have installed the latest installers but I still have the older modules in P3D v4. \Robert Hamlich/
