I'm with Brian J. Doney on it... Very simple in reality : NEVER EVER expect PSS to do a product with the LDS763/PMDG744/F1-ATR Standard... PSS is good but the others above are MUCH better when you're a realism/system-depth freak and used to LDS/PMDG/F1 standards... Those realism freaks will make it a Hangar Queen after 2-3 flghts as they expected more from a 777 sim... Simple.

I have noticed people mentionning that the T7 is not up to par with LevelD or PMDG when it comes to systems. Can anyone comments on what is lacking with the T7? I understand the FIX page and winds cannot be entered in the FMC. Reading PSS features, it seems that most systems are modeled.. so what are we missing when comparing to levelD or PMDG? Thanks in advance...John

Lil'exemples... - Hyd Syst : U can move control surfaces without hyd press on PSS777... In the LVL-D/PMDG, as per real, each and every conrol surface is tied to its system(s)... - Elec Syst : PSS777 only simulate one side on the Cockpit(Capt as usual), LVL/PMDG/F1ATR go further... You got both side (Capt and FO) with almost each screen/gauge/intrusment independant and tied to their source as they should be(!)... - Very advanced failure modules on both LVL-D and PMDG744... - PSS still doesn't make Missed App procedures for their FMC proc.- I don't think PSS777 simulates AT and AP Soft disco... ... Many many more Gee...

VAA,This is a world where people have expectations which are either met or not met ... don't know what yours are.To date, since it was published, I have logged 129 hours in the T7, each with NO issues, none. It's not quite (although not that far away from) the PMDG 744 or LDS 767 ... both of which are about as complete as you could get within MSFS (IMHO) .. having failures, almost everything possible modeled, etc. PSS, again to me, always does a fine job, provides good support ... but as others have pointed out ... always seem to stop short of "being comparable to LDS or PMDG" What I mean, is not that there are blatant problems that make the plane unflyable, but there are little things left out, that many people (PMDG, LDS, Feelthere, and F1 users) have come to expect .. a working fire test, a FIX page on the FMS ... but PSS has added weather radar ... so how do you judge? Don't know. For me, I have enjoyed this T7 since I bought it, fly it at least once a week on relatively long segments, and other than my own silly pilot errors, have had no issues ... do I want more, sure, but there is NOTHING which will keep this software in my hangar ... nothing ... I see you are a Feelthere fan or user ... if you like the 737's and the ERJ, then there's no reason you will not like the PSS T7s ... I feel that the T7 provides me a very immersive experience ... on par with the aircraft from the vendors I mentioned. I do not like and never set failures ... I have enough of that in my daily life, hahaha, I'm not studying QRHs to pass a proficiency check ... I simply like to plot out a route, file my plan and take off ... monitor my flight and plan a nice (hopefully) approach ... as real as possible ... a flameout ... I can handle ... hahahaha ... but I don't need any more anxiety!!!!So it comes down to what you want and expect ... I think the vast majority of users, including myself, have not encountered software issues with the T7 ... I feel very badly for those that do ... but see that many of them have the same issues with every other piece of software ... having said that, if you are looking for the depth of PMDG or LDS ... then you will be disappointed, as Brian D has pointed out ... otherwise .. get out your credit card and give it a shot!!!Best of all it's Friday!!!!!

Happy Friday Brian,While I agree with your comments about the T7 ... quite honestly, I don't let the little niggles get in my way. I have the luxury to work at home and can steal some time to prep a flight, take off, and fly 2x or 4x until descent, plan my approach and fly it ... all while doing my stupid spreadsheets ... hahahahahaha ... I am indeed fortunate ... so I get to fly every day almost. I fly the 777, 767, 747s (classic RFP also), and 737's as well as the Maddog (all three of them) at least once weekly and I love them all, have a good flight with each, immersed as I can be ... and I can still spend time with my wife!!!!! hahahaha ... very important. I wish I spent more time with the ERJ, ATR and DF727 ... but so many planes so little time eh?It's such a subjective world .. and people's needs, expectations and requirements differ so greatly, always hard to tell what to say.I judge most software against PS1.3 ... which to me, had everything (except scenery ... at least that I could figure out how to use) .. and certainly the PSS T7 isn't there yet ... where the LDS 767, PMDG 747s and MD-Max and Lago are pretty close ...So, this has been a pleasant conversation!!!! and it is Friday ... my Friday spreadsheet is waiting and I am 30000 feet above the Pacific KLAX to YSSY in the PMDG 744 (hooray with EPR on the EICAS ... I flying Singapore SQ12 ... Pratts's!!!! my first non freighter 744 flight in a while and since the upgrade!!)

I sometimes look at this whole issue in this way: Think of the great Just Planes or ITTV videos ... Virgin 744, Virgin 742, the great GO 733 video, many MD8x videos, the great UAL ORD-LHR T7 video ... can you do what they do in the video? I can answer YES for the PSS T7s, for the PMDGs ... all of them, the LDS, the Feeltheres .. the DF's and F1's ... so I am a happy camper ... Thinking about the awesome MD-11 ITTV video, I have yet to ever fly a MSFS MD-ll because there is nothing that comes close, with FMS, etc ... so will wait for PMDG for the MD-llI see the PMDG 744's and the LDS 767, MDMax and Lago Maddog as having bonus features with failures, etc ... but personally like having simple, non eventful flights ... although sometimes ASv6 and RC4 throw me curves. The beauty of all of this is there there is something for everyone ... easy flying to pushing buttons to see what does and does not work when you do ... it's a wonderful world!!!! And we are lucky to have all these toys!!!

Vnav doesnt work if when you are climbing you accidently put flap down and then up again, the plane will descend never to climb again unless you do V/S. The VNAV doesnt work.
