November 19, 20178 yr Every single last update I have to REASSIGN keys to my exterior views. I usually use CTRL + 1, 2, and on. Now after this latest "update" I have yet again, to assign key commands. I think Keven, you're taking a program that I LOVED and RUINING IT!!!!! Why can't you send me a version where S & A and the stinking SPACE bar works, in fact ALL of the stinking LM assignments work and let me be. I DO NOT LIKE THESE CHANGES!!!! This was PERFECT, now it's a bloody NIGHTMARE!!!!! Pretty soon I'll have to uninstall, get EZCA and write in as many forums as I can to NOT buy this program!!!!!!!!! Jack Sawyer

Is there not an .ini or .cfg where you can paste your key assignments? You do know that all caps is considered yelling don't you? \Robert Hamlich/
November 19, 20178 yr Commercial Member If you don't like bugs and issues, don't buy into an Alpha/Beta software. The notice was and still is very clear on our website. In the case of ChasePlane, at least stay in the Stable channel and don't rage every time we break something in the Experimental channel. Because this is what an Experimental channel is made for. As I told you yesterday in your other posts, if we could stay within the boundaries of the P3D controls platform, we would have stuck to it. Sadly it's not the case and we need to go alternate routes to get what we need to get done. I have very little time to spend responding to angry messages like the one you posted today and yesterday. I'd rather work with people open to changes and ready work towards fixing the issues instead of staying put on things like this and shouting all over the place. If the software does not appeal to your needs, don't use it. It's as simple as that. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.

Yes, but I simply do not understand why you're making these changes when you were using LM's key assignments just fine for so long. I like this program a lot, I really do. I want to keep using it. I do not want to have to switch. You never gave a really good explanation, someone like me who is not a programmer could understand for why you're replacing the LM functioning with the original keys. Especially in light of the fact the the S A and Space bar were just fine for the longest time. Why do this? In simple terms. I'm sorry of I got angry, please accept my most humble and sincere apology, it was not my intention to get that angry, I was and am just very frustrated in what I see as a step backwards in what was a perfect program. I can see this becoming bloated and useless like Opus was. First it was just weather, then they added cameras, and on and on till it was useless. Again Kevin, I'm sorry. Your words, "if we could stay within the boundaries of the P3D controls platform, we would have stuck to it." You were In the boundaries for a long time and now feel the need to change, why? I simply don't understand. Now, if you do not want to answer any f these questions, I'll understand. And @OMGEDSON was any of this conversation directed at you? I don't recall addressing you sir. 16 minutes ago, HUSSAR said: Is there not an .ini or .cfg where you can paste your key assignments? You do know that all caps is considered yelling don't you? And unfortunately Mr. HUSSAR I'm not as computer code savvy as you my friend. And yes, I do know it's yelling. If you were offended then I offer my deepest and most sincerely humble apologies. All I can do is beg forgiveness. Jack Sawyer
November 19, 20178 yr Commercial Member As mentioned yesterday, the only thing we changed is the order of the cameras when you click S and A, nothing else. You don't need to be a programmer to understand that. The space bar to look around, we replaced by our own control assignments because we cannot use the one provided by the sim to know when the button/key is pressed. Again, this has been the case since the first release of ChasePlane last year, nothing has changed except for the order of the views in the A & S cycle. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.

Well, yesterday the Space bar function wouldn't work like it did. Today it is, as well as the S & A. Do you push out online updates that fast? Thank you for trying to explain, I still do not really understand, I just practice real flights and know nothing of the inner workings. I know some guys do and I applaud them for it. Some are better at some things than others. I spent my life in real-world aviation, fixing, flying, you name it. We never had to know code or work with xml or ini files. I just want it to work the way it worked last week and earlier. Thanks for your replies, I'll just keep on keeping on and see what happens. Jack Sawyer

I haven't changed one thing, no new planes or scenery or add-ons. All of a sudden when Max had those problems I did too. Remember, it S & A stopped in mid flight, then you fixed it when you went to 4.73 but that then affected the Shift function. Now with today's 4.76 everything seems to be back to normal, S & A & Space. This is how I would like it, even if I had to pay you extra, like several hundred dollars extra. I'd be willing to send you a check or PayPal. Jack Sawyer
November 20, 20178 yr I fully support FSFX efforts to make the CP product better. They have done a wonderful job and the new features are coming along very well. Jack, If you don't like change then you shouldn't be using a product which is fully in a development mode. I mean this sincerely and without any malice. This is a hobby in full flux and thank goodness for that. CP will go through many more changes, I predict. Complaining about changes may tend to hinder their efforts and perhaps they might hesitate when a change for the good is needed. (although I doubt this is the case...rock on, FSFX!) November 20, 20178 yr Well said Richard +1 I also had to reassign many of my view keys yesterday. But I know I am in a beta and it wasn't too much work. b rdgs / Dick
