new fsx.cfg, no ai traffic at all

Featured Replies

I let FSX build a new cfg. Everything went well, except I do have no more ai traffic at all. (WoAI)
I crosschecked with my old saved fsx.cfg and copied over the missing "SimObjectPaths" for the ai traffic, but still no traffic
Any help very welcome

Peter

What are the AirlineDensity= and GADensity= sliders in the cft file set to?

Also, make sure that when you copied over the SimObjectPaths the numbers are unique for each line.

Both slider at 20 perc each. Double checked the SimObjectPaths numers, there are no double ones and all in line (1,2,3,4,5,6).

It comes in my mind, that some "shadows" sometimes makes problems with AI. So I untick for testing all shadows within

FltSim option, but no luck

Peter

This can be caused by a missing or corrupt trafficAircraft.bgl file in the FSX/Scenery/World/Scenery folder. When it happened to me I fixed it by copying the trafficAircraft.bgl file from my FSX-SE installation to the corresponding FSX folder.

Also, it's worth a scan with AIFP to look for FS2004 traffic files which can cause traffic not to appear when mixed with FSX traffic files.

If you haven't already onverted them, default WOAI traffic files are FS2004.

Tks guys for your help.

@ Ernest  I have done that already long time ago. All 2004 traffic converted or removed.

@ Dugald I did what you suggested. I took a old copy, but also no luck.

I go back to my old cfg, and all is set.

Thank you all

Peter

Congratulations..

Did you compare the two to see what the differences were?

Posting your findings might be helpful to a future someone who is having the same issue.

@Ernest

That is a big problem and part of my frustation: there is no, rpt no differents between the 2 cfg files.

Now I´m back on the original one, and the traffic is there.

I cleaned up my pc and still everything works well.

Once more thank you to all who tried to help

Peter
